Eagles D is better this year but not dominant. They will rarely be able to slow down NDSU, IMO. Eagles like to get in track meets but not sure that will work today because this may be the best NDSU offense they have ever had. Methodical, punishing yet still pretty dynamic in their play-calling.

Eagles lost Gubrud, their AA QB earlier this year but the sophomore Barriere who stepped in is pretty good. He is a smaller, runner with a rocket arm also. Inexperienced though, and now facing the best defense in the country.

I see EWU giving them some issues because the Eagles offense is so explosive but not enough to win the game. It would take a damn near perfect effort in all three phases.

Just don't see EWU stopping them enough on defense. Vs any other team in the country I take EWU all day but this is a different animal. Stick, the senior QB for NDSU, is probably the best player in the country and is gonna be drafted.

16 point spread is the tricky part. EWU can score in a heartbeat so a possible backdoor could happen.

I despise NDSU greatly but don't see them losing this game. Yes, a team like EWU is the style that can beat them, but not seeing it.

Don't forget Frisco is a 2nd home for NDSU, winning 6 of the last 7 National Championships here in Texas. It's not quite a home game in the Fargo Dome, but it will be close.
Not sure why anyone would despise the Bison as they take on any and all opponents and can't get a game from the FBS over the last 2 seasons Spaulding?
FYI, congrats to the Oregon Ducks who have the balls to schedule NDSU in 2020.
Go Bizon!!

In most cases in National Championship games the under is the way to go early. So much on the line for both teams they tend to come out conservative. These two teams know each other too well and Eastern Washington needs to turn this thing into a track meet if they are to pull off the upset. If the 1st half goes over and NDST is in control I will be on the 2nd half under as well. In a game with everything on the line with a well coached team they will burn the clock out as fast as possible. Weather doesn't look to be a factor at all and the game is played on a grass surface, in fact its played in a soccer stadium (MLS). The bermuda grass they use in most soccer stadiums doesn't usually hold up very well during football games. Look for bad footing which should also help the under a bit.

801 Eastern Washington/North Dakota State 1st Half Under 31? -110

Total points scored in this game over the last 10 years are:

30, 42, 47, 56, 42, 52, 23, 39, 44, 31

NDSU Red Zone Defense has turned opponents away on 50% of the chances. 11 of 22 opportunities no points scored.

They don't take on any and all opponents as their former AD stated many times in the press. They selectively chose their FBS games in past. Figure out the similarities.

If EWU gets it going early the Over should hit. If NDSU gets up at half it will smother the hell out of them in 2nd half.
