I was watching some peacock bass fishing in the Amazon on one of the YouTube channels I?m subscribed to. They had heavy tackle of course Bc of the unknown of what might hit (they caught an Arawana). The question is, why reel so fast and horse in all the peacock bass? Is this Bc they come from a tourney background and want to get them landed fast? It just seems that would not be fun to me. I like to fight the fish a bit. Why go to the Amazon to horse them in? Is it just muscle memory from the Stateside fishing?

Allow me. If you like to fish and want a fantastic trip to the amazon the google rod & gun and book it. Its the most exciting bite that you can get and anything over 10 pounds i can assure you that your not just going to horse them in, Best fishing trip ever

The biggest I ever caught was a 25-foot great white off Amity Island. It was a fishing trip I was asked to go on after a shark began terrorizing a beach community. Anyway, after a scuba tank slid into it's mouth (long story), I shot it and the shark exploded. If you want to get into semantics and say I didn't land it, suck a fat one.
