-------------------------
Race One
BEAUCETTE: Not raced since dull try in U.S. debut last January with similar when 6th. Pedigree is full of stakes runners capable on dirt or sod. Ran some big races in Europe. She's a contender with these with experience in Great Britain.
WILLOW RUSH: Huge late turn of foot is dangerous if the speed comes to a grinding halt. Close up 5th last out racing mile on the grass. Distant 3rd at this trip locally last fall. Threat!
ST. KILDA: Tries 2 turns for the 1st time after 3 sprint preps this year yielded only one minor award. 1/2 sister to stakes placed "Bridal Gate" who won 3 times going a route of ground.
------------------
Race Two
TENDER TEEN: Just bested arguably better state breds at this distance. Looked very good on Sunday blowing out for this across town. May be hard to catch on this speed friendly oval.
CHARLIES GOOD GIRL: Drops to original claiming price 2 back after decent 4th last out facing 2 levels stronger on the grass. She's never been off board in 3 tries at the distance. She figures for share with this bunch.
ALTRUISTIC: Not seen action since good 3rd at Del Mar at this trip facing level better. Drills for return are very good for barn 18% returning from similar layoffs. Broke her maiden locally racing 5 ? last spring.
------------------
Race Three
LOTTA LOOT: Tries blinkers after troubled debut racing 1/4 mile when well supported in the wagering. Barn is an amazing 31% 2nd time out. 1/2 brother to stakes placed "Slew's Prince." One to beat!
PREEMPTOR: Looked very good in both tries across town racing 1/4 mile in quick time. Added distance can only help the cause. This guy is a 1/2 brother to 2 good runners and has a drill over this track. Built like a typical sprinter. Beware!
SWISS ADDRESS: Better than average local drills for debut. Full brother to stakes winner "My Honey Bunny" who ran well in her debut. Nice gate drill last Saturday hints he may come out running.
------------------
Race Four
JUDGE'S PEGASUS: Two consecutive poor tries after looking good in two straight 2nd place efforts with similar. If the pattern continues we should see a solid effort today with the huge rider change to Santiago.
JEWEL OF THE CAT: Looked horrible last out with similar racing 6 1/2 in race she needed having not raced in 10 months. 1st try around 2 turns and is bred to handle the added distance. Chance!
MISS COTTON TAIL: Solid 2nd in most recent with similar for 2nd good effort at this level to surely prove she fits here. Claimed 3 back at this claiming price. Stalking style may fit this oval very well.
------------------
Race Five
OUR FLING has been right there in 2 straight down the hill; like the bullet work between tries; barn is well overdue for a win; okay speed figs; solid rider; exits some lives races; a threat.
MOYANNA has never been better winning 2 straight, but both of those were on dirt; did win on turf in Europe; hot rider stays; claimed by an ice-cold barn; improving speed figs; maybe.
THE DEMPSEY LOOK has run well in both tries off the rest, both down the hill; 3rd off the shelf, but moves up to elders; Corey stays; hot barn; solid speed figs; she has conflicting information.
------------------
Race Six
SURPRIZED has never has been better winning 3 straight and certainly has been popular at the claiming box, too; likely to get another dream trip; victor stays; good barn; the one to beat.
MAX POWER flopped as the mild favorite in last, losing to Baldwin County; had a huge win one back and Flores is back, too; hot barn; solid at this distance; expecting a better try.
BALDWIN COUNTY ran on late to be 2nd to similar; Javier got to know him and his lone win did come here (although you can't see it); hot barn; nice speed figs; he's got a shot.
------------------
Race Seven
ARVADA ran pretty well in U.S. debut to be a close 4th to similar; saves all of the ground from the rail; Frankel having another awesome year; Victor stays; had prep, look out.
HARBOR BLUES nosed out Arvada in last and has been right there in 2 straight; can't find lone win, which was on dirt; improving speed figs; like Jose on the turf; figures right there.
JORDYN MACOMA returned running to break her maiden in slowish time; Kent stays, has a right to improve 2nd out off a rest and barn is doing well; lowish speed figs; minor award her limit?
------------------
Race Eight
I CAN YODELE has win-early breeding; Harrington with his Swiss Yodeler's owned the juvenile races here 2 years ago; love those local works; love Victor up; she looks like a runner.
RENTS DUE missed by a head in last after being 2nd in debut; barn gets 8% maiden special weight wins; like Javier up; has win-early breeding; owns good speed; the one to beat.
SWISS LADYBUG has been close in both quarter-mile tries and the inside is definitely the place to beat at this trip; bred to win early; barn winless this year; 3rd time might be the charm.
