Come on spread! I like Vargas myself, but NO CHANCE? I feel Vargas is on a mission, and will give the boxing public his best work, but poop happens.

I don't mind losing if it's competitive. It's scary how lopsided some of these can be; and how far off base we could be with our prognostications. Pitiful how bad that guy looked, and he says he felt he was doing good! Well, now I am on Baldomir to beat Gatti. Lets see if this one gets shot to hell too.

Frank, if you want to sell me some of the +400 on Baldomir, I will be glad to help you out. :box2:

I have the same problem, its a horrible situation to be in...but I'm dealing with it

I know the smart thing to do is scalp and take the free cash, but I can't see Gatti stopping Baldomir

I already put a little on Gatti by decision +138 as a hedge. Whatever you do...don't hedge with Gatti by 12 round decision as this fight has a good chance of being stopped on cuts.

Baldomir has not lost a fight since 1999. 18-0-2 Since then. 42-9-2 Overall. Just beat Zab Judah in a War. Only 12 K.O. Fighting Gatti a Warn Warrior on the verg of retirment more medical problems than space to list? Believe the Media ? The Hype? Thats there chosen proffession to keep us interested. As Posted for the Mosely-Vargas Prop Wager Shane stops Vargas. Baldomir Wins this if it makes it goes to the 12. Wager Baldomir Safe. K.O. TKO worth the Gamble. GL Invest this Win Properly.

Why do you think that? When was the last time Gatti was stopped on cuts? Manfreddy? Ive only seen about 4 Baldomir fights and he doesnt really swell or cut too much either. If I was going to hedge that bet it would be for Gatti decision, especially in Jersey.

You're missing the point

As posted, I already put a little on Gatti by decision as a hedge. My point is, don't take Gatti by 12 round decision +133 when you can get Gatti by any decision at +140.

It doesn't matter how many times either fighter has been stopped on cuts, there's always a chance in every fight. Esp in this fight given the styles of both fighters, there will be plenty of headbutts here.

Btw, yes the last time Gatti was stopped on cuts was Manfredy. What makes you think it can't happen again? Just b/c he hasn't been stopped on cuts since then, doesn't mean he hasn't been cut several times since then. Baldomir has had 3 technical decisions since '97 and has a come forward style that creates frequent headbutts.

Either way, the fighters involved don't matter, always take the decision prop over the 12 round decision prop if at all possible. Even if the price is better on the 12 round prop, I'll give up the extra + money to cover a tech decision as cuts are so common in boxing.

the results weren't expected, but you never know if a fighter is truly finished until he turns in a performance like vargas did. probably a case of one too many weight drainings, the vargas play was still a good bet, just one that didn't play out, just like mosley at under 2 to 1 wasn't a bad bet either, sometimes it's better to be on the winning side regardless of everything else. I know I've played a lot of clunkers where the obvious favorite barely wins, and others where the under dog wins impressively, throwing my bet out the window. long term it's win, regardless of how you get there or the speed bumps along the way.
