With the 2008 Academy Awards only days away betED.com is giving fans the chance to bet on who the big winners will be Sunday night.

Odds are currently posted a number of the most important categories, including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Director and Best Picture.

For his performance in There Will Be Blood, Daniel Day Lewis is the heavy favorite to win Best Actor. Johnny Depp, who had the title role in Sweeney Todd, is the second favorite, but trails Lewis by a considerable margin.

The Best Actress category is a little closer with Julie Christie from Away From Her as the favorite. Right behind her are Marion Cotillard and Ellen Page. Cotillard starred in the French film La Vie en Rose while Page is nominated for her work in Juno. Both Cate Blanchett and Laura Linney are the longshots of the group.

Two of the the most prestigous awards are also amongst the most hotly contested this year. No Country For Old Men is the favorite to capture both Best Picture and the Best Director award for Joel and Ethan Coen but other contenders are close behind.

Paul Thomas Anderson, who directed There Will Be Blood, and Julian Schnabel, who directed The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, are both second favorite to win for Best Director. The real longshot is Tony Gilroy, who directed Michael Clayton.

There Will Be Blood is also the second favorite for Best Picture with Juno listed as the third favorite. Michael Clayton is the longshot in this category as well.

Odds are also available for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Foreign Language Film and Best Short Animated Film.
