As much as I respect NC's team I just believe it is meant to be that Illinois is suppose to be the champ's.This team will not be scared of NC whatsoever....I love the team chemistry they have and there "d" is not to shabby either.If this game was played on paper no question UNC has the more talented team but this is just 1 game.

I agree Doo, I really just think the passing of Weber's mother will light the fire under him and his players to win this game...maybe its a dumb thought, but SH*T man, if my coach's mother had died this year and I could be winning a NC in her honor, I would be more pumped than I ever have

you guys and your theories from beyond the grave.......a tragic situation indeed and i'm sure it plays a small part in the emotion that ill has, but when the ball is in the air i dont really think that has anything to do with the outcome.

if that were the case arizona would have beaten duke in 01 when lute's wife died in the middle of the season...but they didn't...apparently the refs didn't get the memo

yea but the passing of Weber's mother was very recent and I do think it can play a part in the motivation of the game...didn't say they were going to beat UNC because of that gjn, stop venting over Illinis come back against your cats...im saying it COULD be a factor

I didn't mention anything about them winning cuz of any tragic situation....i simply said i believe it is their year.....we will know in 24 hrs

sorry doochuk, didn't see it wasn't in your original post....have read it in many others as well as vyrus reply to your post.

i just dont see that angle as a factor at all.......while recent, it's the coaches mother....do the players REALLY think about that on the court when the game is being played?....are they playing harder because of that?...is webber coaching better because of it? is unc going easy on ill because of it?.....from my point of view it has nothing to do with the final outcome and to use it as a basis of making a wager is a joke....
