I will admit that I am not an NBA fan at all, but I have watched some of the playoffs. Just based on watching the two teams play recently, I do not see anyway Toronto can beat the Warriors with or without Durant in a 7 game series. Leonard is great but he can not beat them alone and the Warriors simply have too many weapons. Just do not see Toronto scoring enough to keep pace. Thought about an exact number of games bet, etc. but sometimes you just have to lay the lumber:

Warriors -300

Not a bet I typically make, but I actually laid -510 against Portland and I really do not think Toronto is much better than them. Worth tying up some money for me as not much else is going on anyway.

Made the same bet, hate laying big but just don't see an upset happening...first time in playoffs with a new coach. they will sneak out a game or 2 imo

I see that the price on the first game in Toronto slightly favors the Raptors, let's call it even. I am hoping that the Raps win that first one, which is possible for a number of reasons.

If this happens, then the series price may shift significantly, and there may be a better price on the Warriors.

Just a thought. :0008

very true but if the opposite happens, there's value now

Yeah, I went through all these scenarios, but I just went with what I think was the best bet. If Toronto happens to win the first one or two and the odds improve, I saved some money and will just add to my bet. If GS wins the first one -300 is likely a gift. Anything can happen, but I will be very surprised if Toronto has any real chance to even be in this series.

Toronto is a cool story, and stranger things have happened as far as them winning this thing. But watching them play, their lack of offense at times will be difficult to overcome. Golden State will not miss open looks and the Warriors play some pretty damn good defense as well. The Warriors go on epic scoring stretches that most teams can't comeback from. They are more complex to guard with KD out of the lineup. But as I stated, anything can happen and Toronto has home court advantage.

Good luck!

I always ask myself the imponderables, like what would happen if Curry got hurt or Green started draining threes again for Toronto. Would not want to have too much invested at that price, certainly not "all in".

Good luck whatever you decide! :0074

I said not "all in" on the money line. However, I did lay a big chunk on the Warriors -1' to win in 6 games or less. If they lose the first game then I will add more on the money line. :0074

They should win easily on paper. But we all know that is why they play... Enjoy the series, at least it's different this time. I am going to enjoy Kawai and of course Curry running someone's ass off chasing him around the court. Maybe Green since he is not hitting his threes so far? :mj07:

P.S. The Warriors in 6 or less is (-152).

I would never go all-in on a -300 bet, but I like it enough to risk some decent money. I agree that anything can happen, but it would have to be a perfect storm for Toronto to win this series in my opinion.

I added some to GS 4-2 series at +200.

Bason love you for all those soccer winners this year...it is still early, and anything can happen, but as you saw Toronto is NOT the Portland Trailblazers.

Damn, Toronto is very good. I should have known as they beat my Bucks 4 straight. I still feel GS wins this but not as easy as I originally thought. Game 2 well be crucial. Even if Toronto wins again, GS should win 2 at home. I'll wait for this game to play out and then the odds may come down on GS, so I can add to the -300 bet. Play big or go home.

I hear you Crook and by no means do I consider myself an NBA expert or even a big player. I just put aside some soccer winnings to play the finals as soccer season is slow right now.

I completely expected Toronto to win at least one game at home. Sure, they looked great last night, but can they play that well every game? Can Siakem and Gasol keep up that kind of shooting? Can they limit themselves to 10 or less turnovers? Still not sure they can, but if they do, I agree this is going to be a very tough series.

Thought seriously about adding to the series price at -155, but I think playing the next game is the more strategic play:

Golden State +115

This is a much better play than adding to the series bet at this point in my opinion. They win, you hit a + money bet, lessen the series exposure and look good for the series bet. They lose, I likely simply add to the series bet at a much, much better number.

Golden State has been here many times and I expect a much better game from them. Of course having Durant on the floor, even at less then 100%, will make a big difference, but I made the bets not counting on him to play.

That worked out well, nothing to do now but see how the games in CA go.

I did not watch any of the game, but heard the end was just brutal. I think I saw that GS scored only 3 points in the last 5:30 of the game and still won, so I am glad I missed it!!

Bason, it was actually a really good game. I put a lot on it...half on GS ML and half on GS +2.

There was a really weird drought from about the 5 min mark to the 2 min mark...the reason I say weird is b/c no one tried a 2-point shot. GS was up 8 and it was like they kept trying to knock them out w one shot. I love their game but they shot nothing but 3's. On the other end, I get it, but Toronto did the exact same and no one could hit. Finally Leonard got fouled and Curry threw the ball really high and got a "T".

That turned out to be pretty significant. Honestly they should have just called it "delay of game" and if it had been their 2nd, then let it be a technical.

Down 2 w about a 3-4 second difference in shot clock/game clock...Toronto played tough D but chose not to foul. Leonard had what looked to be a sure steal on a pass but Livingston managed to get there first and threw to a wide open Iggy. Like 7 or 8 seconds left and its a crazy spot. Should he hold it and waste a couple more seconds but then be guarded. Should he shoot and if miss then Raptors have ball time for a 2 to tie or 3 to win.

Iggy squared up, took his time, nailed it, and I pumped my fist like 5 times in a row lol. You've prob seen all this and I'm just going by memory so it may not be perfect. Also, Toronto played a really good game. GS managed to cut a dd lead to 5 by half and then went on an 18-0 run to start the 3rd but Toronto stopped the bleeding and got back in the game late. They had chances but just couldn't hit. Whenever they hit 3's, GS answered and whenever they missed, so did GS. Crazy game and crazy ending but well worth watching. Looking forward to Game 4 and hoping Klay is ok.

I love KD but I love this team so much more w/o him. Gonna be a fun series!
