Nebraska -17 (First Half) (-120)
"Olympic" is posted at -17 for halftime. I'll take the -17 for a little higher juice.
Reason why I chose this:
Throw away what happened last year, that was then, this is now, both teams have new quarterbacks!!!, lets look at this with logic and common sense.........
*Arizona st has a better defense than Troy st, we can all agree on that right?? If "Jamall Lord" avg 8 yds per carry against them, imagine what he'll do against Troy st!!!! Ooohhh, it's going to be nasty!!
*With Lord and Diedrick, Nebraska should score EVERYTIME they get the ball on offense. If you ever wonder what it will be like, just think about what Virg tech did to Ark st, this game should be the same.
*Everybody talks about Troy st returns plenty starters, but did anyone take into account that their QB is gone?? That is huge!! Even with returners, keep in mind this is Troy st's first game of the season, and this is Nebraska's second game. Having a game under your belt makes an enormous difference in how well your team will operate early. Reason why Nebraska didn't start strong last week, because it was their first game. By the second half, the huskers were rolling!!! They will take that momentum into this next game against Troy st.
*Troy st, still cold, because they never played yet, has played scrimmage with their own players. How in holy earth can they immitate Jamall Lord and the Nebraska rushing game in practice, unless they can clone Micheal Vick.
*People might say, "Oh, but look what Troy st did to Miami last year, they did pretty good." Yah, but they already had games under their belt, and they had their QB, who was a four year starting senior, with tons of experience. And not to mention Miami, after rolling over teams, probably took Troy st for granted.
*Not only does all this go against Troy st, but they have to play on the Huskers home turf. Jamall Lord already got the running game going great. What can Troy st's defense do?? Absolutely nothing!!!
*The question is, "Can Troy st put up points to not make this game embarrassing?" I feel, if they do put up some points, it will take them time and mostly be in the second half after making adjustments(or huskers relaxing after ahead by a comfortable lead), because Troy st won't be prepared for what will be coming to them early in the game. Like I said, nothing in Troy st's scrimmage can prepare them for what they will face against Nebraska's rushing game.
* Jamall "Lord" have mercy!!!!!
