I think it was in 1999 when Shaq was mvp. He got every vote except one. That moron Hickman from SI voted for Iverson. Just wanted to be different.:facepalm:

Guys seriously I started going to NBA games at Cobo Hall in Detroit at age 8 Bob Lanier days...
We had season tickets all the way up till 84' when we moved.
I have been watching the NBA for 30+ years...
I have NEVER seen someone like CURRY.
Many greats have amazed me (in person) too.

and yes LEBRON
I could go on and on...

YET I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE MOVE OR SHOOT LIKE CURRY.

and obviously I am not alone...131 voters agreed.

The kid is pure class in a league full of ghetto trash. He carries himself with the highest respect - He is not all tatted up. He speaks well. He is a family man. He has values. A poster child for the future of the NBA.

So is LeBron ghetto trash because he has tattoos? Do a little research on LeBron and what he does for charities and people in general. You might be blown away. I can personally say I wish I were half the person he was. Yet alone Athlete.

How do you know Curry is pure class? Do you hangout with him personally every day? I find it hilarious when people generalize someone they really don't know.

Ps- if LeBron acted the way Curry did with his "I'm back," you haters would be here in droves. But we never have to worry about that because LeBron was never gone ;)

Curry definitely deserves it but you are accurate in your assessment that it's a joke that he's the first but it also shows how watered down the NBA is when greats like Kobe MJ Shaq and all the other greats never got a unanimous vote.

MVP doesn't mean you're the best player in the league/world or even a top-five player. See Steve Nash.

Showing once again why he was unanimous !!! Unbelievable!!! Takes a split second to release a 3 and nothing but net... More times than not!! Just amazing to watch what he does with a ball
