This should not be the same old plodding, no talent team that we will see in Detroit this season. Several new faces should make the Titans the most improved team in the Horizon this season.
The frontcourt features a healthy X Keeling, an IU transfer by way of a JUCO who was injured most of last season. Another IU transfer, Eli Holman will bring a much needed inside presence in the middle.
The arrival of CMU transfer Simon gives the Titans a guy who can knock down the 3ball as well as a little size at the 2guard.
As a rule I would think that all these new faces would need some time to gel but they got a nice head start with a summer trip to Europe. They also looked very good in two exhibition games, running up 90+ in both.
I don't know if they are quite ready to take on the highly ranked Bears but I have to believe that this new cast can get up and down the floor and score a bit. I expect to see a vastly improved Detroit team this season.Coach M indicated that he wants to play a quicker tempo this year so now it's time to see it happen.
