At least I think it's my first NFL post . . .
Miami-2' over Seattle
Hasselback is not good enough. Sea's WRs to do not have one TD reception this year. Unlikely he'll get one to them today.
If it comes down to kicking, Mare has not missed in 18 tries. 11/11 EPs and 7/7 FGs
Miami/Sea under 37
Neither team will break 20 points.
Ravens -7 overJax
Even with Elvis and Allen banged up, the Jag's 2 TD/game average (NFL 3rd worst) will not be enough to beat Randall and the guys. Jax has the lowest average time of possession in the AFC, too. The Ravens will not let up in this game.
Saints +12' over Rams
This will be the third week seven in a row that the Rams lose . . . or don't cover. 1999, 2000, and 2001.
This is a huge number of points in an intradivisional rivalry and the saints plan on winning not covering. I think they win outright as Faulk sits out another week (before the bye) and Canidate gets outrushed by Williams Kicking edge (and maybe entire special teams edge to New Orleans. Carney leads NFC with 12 FGs and is accurate from distance.
Flutie/Tomlinson -7 over Johnson/Henry
Johnson broke a 7 gaming losing streak in a very unimpressive win over the hapless Jags (see above) and the streak resumes today. Johnson's 16 sacks this year put him on a pace to exceed LY's 49. I'd guess Wiley alone gets to him 2 or 3 times today.
Vikes+3 over Bucs
Dunn, Green, Keyshawn are all hurt and any or all of them might sit today. The Bucs are league cellar dwellers in 3rd down defense (51% converted against them) and Sapp might not double his sack total today (1 so far this year) I watched the entire GB/TB game and the entire GB/Vikes game (painful as all hell, I might add) and I think that Minny might win by dd here. The points are a bonus. ML play might be worth a look.
