BOSTON COLLEGE +4 @ VILLANOVA
The Big East has been good to me all year and Boston College is one of the major contributors to my success. I have rode the Eagles all season and that's why this game is our BIG EAST PLAY OF THE YEAR!
Although they are ranked 5th in the Nation, Vegas is still not giving them the respect they deserve. Case in point, last game vs Syracuse at home where they have not lost in over a year. Odds Makers made the Eagles a DOG... Go figure, outcome was another BC win moving them to 11-0 at home and 22-1 on the season. In fact, dating back to last year the Eagles are 32-2 their last 34 games. Versus the Orangemen, Smith and Dudley lit it up again. Smith scored 16 points and added in a huge night on the boards with 15 rebounds. Dudley did his part scoring 21. These guys are simply hot, every night.
Against Villanova, these 2 guys have lit it up during their career. Dudley is averaging 27.5 ppg against NOVA and Smith has contributed 19 ppg and 8 rebounds. Last time these 2 teams met, BC won at home in a squeaker 67-66. That was when all the pressure in the world was on Boston College as they were after the elusive perfect season. Now the pressure is off, the team is playing great ball and there will be no stopping them tonight on the road where they are 11-1. Their biggest win on the road was a 75-70 win at UCONN when Anderson was leading the way for the Huskies.
Villanova is getting to much credit for their win over Pitt last week as a 4.5 point fav. But lets not forget their BLOWOUT loss to Cuse at home 90-75 as a 4.5 point fav in a game they were never in. Subs allowed Nova to make this game as close at it was at the end.
BC is much more physical and quicker as witnessed by their huge edge getting to the line in Boston last month. Same thing happens tonight at the Eagles move to 23-1.

Chicago @ Cleveland
The Bulls took care of business last night beating the visiting Miami Heat after losing the previous 2 meeting this season by wide margins. The Bulls continue to improve by leaps and bounds while youngsters Gordon, Curry, and Hinrich are all playing up to potential. A strong team commitment and solid defense have the Bulls right on target for a playoff birth this season despite their slow 0-9 start to the season.
Cleveland in making great gains as well with LeBron James becoming everything and more than was expected despite the circus like atmosphere that followed him straight from high school to the NBA. In just his second year and at the tender age of 20 James has emerged as one of the most dynamic players in the league. His maturity is well beyond his years and any negativity regarding this kid?s attitude upon his arrival in the NBA have been silenced by his play on the court and unselfish behavior. James is a winner and a team guy all the way! The Cavaliers have surrounded James with 2 huge bodies in the front court with Ilgauskas and Gooden who dominate the paint and control the boards while leaving the talented James with plenty of room to spearhead the Cleveland offense.
Both teams are certainly on the ups this season but Chicago does play a more balanced game with their scoring spread throughout the roster. Curry and Chandler have the size and rebounding abilities to compete with Cleveland?s big men down low and Hinrich and Duhon give Chicago an edge at the guard position. This Eastern Conference Central Division battle pits the #2 and #3 teams in an important division game. The Cavaliers lay 8 points tonight and that seems awful high considering the Bulls and their level of play of late. This is a back to back situation for Chicago and a road game however making this a tough place to win especially considering Cleveland?s 20-5 home record. Winning by 8 is too much to ask however as Chicago makes a game out of it tonight. Expect a close game with Cleveland edging the Bulls by the smallest of margins.
