So I'm getting out to Vegas the weekend of October 18-21 and being that this is my first time, I have a few questions for some of the regulars--

I'm staying at Caesar's Palace--I've mainly played blackjack and I also enjoy Let it Ride...Is it reasonable to assume I could most of my time in Caesar's or should I look for other places to play? I certainly want to see the other casinos but as far as playing, I'm just wondering if there are any reasons to look elsewhere? I'm a fairly low dollar so I'm no really looking to get over $25/minimums.

What would be the best show that I could take my mom and wife to? Both are their birthdays are around then so I'd like to take them both to something they would really enjoy...I'm not too worried if I'd enjoy it.

As far as sportsbooks, I will certainly try to spend a fair amount in time in one for both college and pro foots...Is there a "best" place to do this?

Also, in regards to tipping at tables, what is the usual rule of thumb and do you ever tip the folks at the sportsbooks on a win? Seems to me the juice is plenty but I wasn't sure.

I really appreciate anyone that takes the time to read this and can offer any advice...

As for shows, I personally enjoy Olympic Gardens (gentleman's club). :D

But seriously, O is a great show. It is at the Bellagio. It is a Cirque de Soleil show w/ a water theme. I think tix go for about $100 a pop. Another show that i hear is good but i havent seen is the Blue Man Group at the Luxor. Have a great time in Vegas and good luck w/ your gambling and search for a show. :D

show they will love is mystere at treasure island i would call int the am

And for play you will be fine there get a players card and put time in and you will gain some comps maybe room depending on time spent and at 25 you will be fine there trust me they will be very happy at that also have 5 $ tables but have to put in more time the key is buy chips up front and that looks better when the say change 100 or 200 then chage 50 3 or 4 times and if you hit a bad strak walk awy take chips cahs them in and when you go back change the big bills again, but use your card, hell they losr track when you pull chips put them in pocket a few at a time, some out of each win and it won't take long to have your 100 or so in your pocket and cash still on table, then if you lose what on table, you still have what you sterted with, even after you have what you started with still pull on chip out of each win and keep it in pocket then when you run out cash in and come back and start all over they will think you lost because you are changing bills again. this works quite well for comps:D

WUFDUDE---

Id recommend "O" and Mystir (sp?) I just got back from Vegas a little while ago, and I stay at the Bellagio. So id recommend you spend a little time in their gambling, as well as seeing "O". The Bellagio gave my guests and myself tickets to "O" and Mystir, so i didnt really mind seeing the shows--but if id had to pay for them, i dont think I would go and see the shows. I personally dont care for shows, id rather spend my time @ the tables, but thats just me. The ladies seemed to like them, but for myself, about the only "Shows" ill go see in VEGAS are the ones where there are two guys with gloves on in a ring :D

Well I can imagine the minimum bet at Cesars for the weekend would be quite high so perhaps BJ at Barbary Coast. I have stayed there several times and like it for a small place. GL...

trust me if you play 25 a hand and log in 8-10 hours first day and ask for room and food you will get it.

The bc is a great place to play. It is not the stuffy strip type stiffs in there.
