Is it fixed, or not? That debate will rage forever. Usually, it's sour grapes, because you lost. The one thing I'll say here that I've said before.....

Billion dollar businesses don't leave things to chance.

My biggest bitch is instant replay. Obvious calls or missed calls not being overturned.

I almost never bet on football anymore, because it's just too fishy for me.

These games are not fixed by the referees! Do you know what that means? Too many people have to be involved. Where is the evidence? Who decides which team wins? Follow the money? What the fuck does that mean?
Because one side is bet much heavier than the other? How do you explain the games where one side is bet heavier, but they win? Why did Georgia win by 60?? I'm not sure, but they had to be the much, much heavier side in that game. Or is it only in the NFL? I have been wagering on sports for 50 years, sure there has been a ref/player take a bribe more than once, but to say these games are orchestrated to determine a winner for ANY reason is insane! When one side has all the money on it wins, nobody says a damn thing, then when one side with all the money loses... fixed!

Very solid points. I've never met a gambler who wants to accept a loss. In craps, "the shooter hit the chips!" Blackjack, "you took the dealer's bust card!" Sports, "it's rigged!"

That same psychology works the other way, too. A person doesn't want to think they're being screwed, so there is no way that it's happening.

In all fairness, that son of a bitch DID take the dealer's bust card. Why the fuck did he hit 14 when the dealer was showing a 6?

True! But when he makes the "wrong move" and you win, you don't give him a high-five......
I... I don't think that's ever happened.

Actually, in all the time I've spent at blackjack tables... I have had one good run at a table where people didn't know what they were doing. It really stood out. Every single other big run I've had was either one-on-one with the dealer or with other players who were solid players and, maybe more importantly, consistent.

I'm not saying it makes any sense mathematically, but that's my experience.
