Hello guys, I would like to come out there for New years week. Preferably Dec 27 - Jan 3. Should I book now or can I wait a little bit? How busy is it out there for NY Eve? Was out there in Oct and would like to come out again.

I'm not sure you want to go out there for New Years. I had some friends of mine do that a couple of years ago, and they swore they would never go at that time again. They said it was the worst time they ever had in Las Vegas. From what I heard, some casinos wouldn't let you in unless you were staying at that place, apparently had to show your room key just to get in the door (I believe they were staying at the Golden Nugget). Fletch, what is your opinion of New Years out there?
2nd most people in the us next to ny on new years eve,they start shutting streets down at 7 pm unfreaking real how many people that are here. ny and vegas can have it,i stay in my house and can see the fireworks just fine at the strip.
besides all the people that are drunk and stupid you have every pick pocket ,con man and whore from all around the us,its like cash city for these freaks,i pass.

I was in Vegas once for New Years, and I wouldn't do it again for free.
Big Daddy is right, if you don't have a key you don't get into any strip casinos. Big phuckin mess. Lots of punks.
But if you like hanging out on the street with a bunch of drunk kids, it might be your cup of tea.
