-- The visor was back at Florida on Tuesday -- on the head of quarterback Rex Grossman, who sat out practice with an injured knee.
Coach Ron Zook said Grossman's availability for Saturday's game against Auburn would probably be determined at gametime.
``Watching him bounce around there tonight, obviously you don't know, but I feel pretty good about it,'' Zook said.
Grossman, who walked around and observed practice Tuesday, said he hurt the right knee in the second quarter of last Saturday's 36-7 loss to LSU. When Zook was asked which knee was injured, he shrugged his shoulders and didn't say a word.
Grossman was wearing a brace on his right knee when he was shuttled off the practice field Tuesday night in a motorized cart, through an exit far from reporters.
Zook said Grossman didn't necessarily have to practice this week to play Saturday, and believed watching the offense instead of running it could be beneficial.
``Sometimes when you're coaching and doing, it's different,'' Zook said. ``You understand things better.''
That couldn't hurt. Grossman has thrown three touchdown passes and eight interceptions in the last two games, both losses. He has fallen to 11th in the 12-team Southeastern Conference in passing efficiency.
In interviews earlier Tuesday, Grossman said he expected to play.
``It feels all right,'' he said. ``It's like a sprained ankle.''
If Grossman can't play, redshirt freshman Ingle Martin will get his first career start. Zook said that might change the game plan a bit, because Martin is more of a running quarterback.
``But I feel very confident Rex is going to play,'' Zook said. ``I told my wife he'd have to be paralyzed not to play.''
