Outright plays (total stake per play: 1pt)

Juli Inkster to win 20/1 e.w. @ BetInternet
A former winner (2002) and in her best form for several years. Inkster opened the season with a top-10 finish in SBS Open in Hawaii, but it was her win in the Safeway International last month - her first win since 2003 - that suggested that she was not yet ready to give way to the rising young stars on this Tour. She has followed that win with top-5 finishes in both her subsequent events so show that the win was no fluke. One top-5 finish was in a major championship and the other included a course-record final round 63 in Las Vegas. It is no accident that she ranks 2nd in the Money List and Scoring Average on Tour and ahead of Annika Sorenstam both times, which points to value at these odds.

Natalie Gulbis to win 28/1 e.w. @ BetInternet
Gulbis also ranks ahead of Annika Sorenstam in both the Money List (5th) and Scoring Average (3rd) tables, which is no surprise as she has finished in the top-5 in four of six starts this season. She failed to reach that mark last time out in Las Vegas, but that was only because of poor putting - she ranked 2nd in greens in regulation (85%) on the week. So with top-15 finishes from 2002-04 and a 23rd place finish last year, a return to the leaderboard looks very likely this week.

Morgan Pressel to win 66/1 e.w. @ Stan James
Pressel has rather disappeared from the radar after an impressive couple of events in Hawaii in February, but that is only because she has played just twice since. She disappointed in the Safeway International (60th), but didn't in the Nabisco Championship where she was on the fringes of contention throughout, ranking 4th in greens in regulation that week. She does have course experience having competed as an amateur and finishing 23rd and she did win the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship in such convincing style in Georgia last year. It would be hard to imagine Michelle Wie being available at these odds and there really is little to choose between these two at this stage of their careers.

Annika Sorenstam +215

I cannot will myself to put money on anybody else for this tournament. She won last year by 10 shots, finishing 23 under par. The previous year, although not the winner, Annika shot 10 under par for the tournament, with a high round of 71 in her previous eight rounds at Eagle's Landing. Although +215 is no bargain, I'll bite.

Hoping that 'Tutta' goes well -
Next tournament is the Atlanta Charity Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez starting on 20 April. When do you go to Atlanta and how do you feel about that tournament?

"I will drive up to Atlanta on Monday. This is a course I've played many times, and I have some good memories from this place. I'm looking forward to teeing it up again, and compete."

Am impressed by the big hitting rookie Lincicome - perhaps she can repeat last week's performance.

Matchup plays (2pts each unless stated):

Morgan Pressel to beat Meena Lee -110 @ The Greek [4pts]
Mismatch. Pressel has a 6-1-0 h2h career lead over Lee with the only time that Lee finished ahead of Pressel was in the Fields Open in Hawaii which Lee won, though Pressel had been tied with her with one round to go. On every other occasion, Pressel has finished higher up the leaderboard and that includes this event last year when Pressel finished 23rd as an amateur and Lee missed the cut.

Juli Inkster to beat Paula Creamer +120 @ The Greek
Backing Inkster for the second week in a row as a large underdog. There is no way that her form justifies these odds. She has played in five events alongside Creamer this season and finished ahead of her on four occasions. When these two played in this event last year, Creamer missed the cut to also finish behind Inkster. Will side with the former winner here once again at these odds.

Pat Hurst to beat Grace Park -110 @ The Greek
Easy to oppose a player who never comes to a golf course without two Advil and a back brace handy. Despite swing changes, she continues to struggle with tightness in her back and so has not been able to put more than one good round together. So with top-20 finishes in her last two starts and with an impressive record on this course - a worst finish of 42nd in ten visits - it is easy to back Hurst.
