I prefer that Vegas from the way Vegas is now. Not even close.
My first visit to Vegas was in January 1986 when a bunch of us road tripped to Pasadena from Iowa for the ‘86 Rose bowl, then stopped in Vegas on our drive back.
Multiple visits in the 90s, but by the turn of the century the vibe was changing.
Last visit was 2 years ago and I never left the south point and I have a hard time seeing myself going back ever again.

On the course!
That is about the first time I went. That was back when it looked like it was a hundred yard walk to the next casino, but it was actually half a mile!

They took care of the guests in every way. I like a clean bathroom, I hate public bathrooms. But, back in the day they had an attendant in the bathrooms that shined shoes and had a little business in there with every little thing you could want.

Somebody got up from taking a shit, the guy would go in there immediately and make sure everything was spotless. Wash your hands? The guy would come through after and wipe of the sink area.

Back then....

I stayed at the south point once and I loved it. The morning mimosas after a hard night of drinking were needed. I stayed up all night back then, saw the sun come up. LOL good times

We went back in July and stayed at the golden nugget downtown. While I liked it and the pool was great. The gambling has ehhh....My daughter turns 21 in two years I plan to take her after that not so sure about going back.
