have an old denon reciever, live in middle of nowhere. can i split the signal and use it for fm antena...........if not where can i get best FM antena...............
The answer is.. it depends.
If you are thinking of splitting the Directv signal and hoping to get FM radio - no, that will not work. It's a satellite signal, not FM.
Now, if you (like a lot of people do) have a digital TV antenna feed (like from your attic) and the Directv feed on separate coax's, you can split the feed from your antenna and send one of the splits to the Denon and one to your Directv box.
that's exactly what I do - I watch all the locals in HD from my antenna (no compression to the signal - Directv compresses their signal so their picture is not as good as over the air) and the other part of the split goes to my Pioneer receiver.
Hope this helps.
