5 of us are taking a buddy to Vegas for his stag in 2 weeks. One of the pluses in going this time of year is that we get to spend Sunday drinking/watching/gambling on football! Does anyone have a suggestion on where the best place to watch is? We're looking for best overall atmosphere, ease of gambling, etc.

Much appreciated!

My 2 cents and don't forget Saturday cause it's even better:

Vegas Hilton still best sports book with every bet you can imagine (old school for sure not fancy at all)
Mirage decent spot and right in middle of strip
The Quad (Imperial Palace) old and dumpy book but plenty of space and cheap drinks
Lagasse Stadium at Venetian/Palazzo: Huge Restaraunt sports book with good food and great atsmosphere. Expensive and need to reserve table on football weekend.

Thanks Roger. I'm looking for somewhere we can sit comfortably like we usually do on Sundays and watch the games. I've got a reservation at Lagasse Stadium. It's the outdoor seating where we have our own TV, but can't control the sound.

Hilton has a very nice set-up.

Bally's is centrally located on the strip and has a great sportsbook room, too. If you're looking for a nice bar in the heart of the strip, bally's is great as well.

This place is great and has a sports book in the restaraunt. We spent a great college football day there. Enjoy!

The Hilton has a spot just for NFL in their showroom that is really nice. It is like sitting in a theatre. It is not the regular sportsbook which they also have and then they have a new place called the fancave but there are only about 30-40 seats there. I am not sure if the showroom fills up on Sundays because I was only there for the late games.

Thanks for all your help! Has anyone ever sat in the outdoor seats at Lagasse's?

Sorry late to this. Lagasses is great.

Think won 100$ or so in bets. Tipped the guy $10, he asked if I wanted some drink tickets. If I drank all of the tickets, I'd be dead right now. I was giving them out like handshakes. Great place.

Thanks to everyone for their help! We ended up going to Lagasses and had a great time. The outside seats were amazing. We felt they were better than the seats inside. Only negative was the food wasn't good at all. But after 4 buckets of beer for $35, any food would have been good!

How much are you trying to spend?

How much are you trying to spend?

If you want to go cheap with it then I have to recommend Ellis Island. Its a smaller little casino and sports book right behind Bally's. That place has it all, $3 pints of craft brew (all different styles, hefenwizen, amber, lager, pale ale), cheap minimums and fairly loose slots. Last time I went they had a special were if you signed up for their players club you got a steak dinner for $7. By far my favorite place to go to get drunk and watch sports in Vegas for cheap.

If you are not a cheap bastard like myself then I would suggest New York New York or Caesar's. The Aria has a pretty nice sports book too but pretty expensive.
