Do you guys thnk there is a difference besides color in a girls shoe compared witha guy shoe
A punk at big5 sold me a size 11(and im an 11-11 1/2 mens normally) ladies shoe that was in the mens sectio
newbalance 411(just google it and all the websites show it as a girls shoe but i got dark blue and silver which are not listed as the ladies colors)
anyways, i really dont care cause they were comfy and cheap but i wanna know if these things are built for running and everything or are womens shoes not built the same way a s mens?

Thanks for any info

On the course!
When I worked in a shoe store as a kid, we always had a contest on the weekends, to see how many dorks we could sell "ladies" shoes too.

The winner got the pool, which was always 10 bones a guy. ($50 extra to a teenager was nice loot in those days!)

Nice to see they still run that game......bless their twisted hearts!

:mj07:

I wouldn't worry.....no one will notice, except for maybe the few thousand women who wear that brand!

How would a ladies size 11 fit a man that usually wears that size in men's? It sounds like you have a man's shoe.

In response to yyz, i think this guy used to play the games with you when you were a kid cause he had a gray goatee and looked about 45. He was so lazy it was ridiculous, and I was going to buy another pair of shoes but he would sit in the back for 5 minutes every time i asked for a pair of shoes, so maybe he was trying to scheme me into helping his pool, but i am pretty sure he is just incompentent and there is a reason he is a 45 yo working at big5

In response to dbl, i went to another big5 about a year ago or so, and I asked for a shoe and then the guy says to me what size and i said 11 or 12 and he said "oh no need to be embarrassed about your size" and i looked at my buddy and he had no idea about what he meant by that. I always assumed 11 or 12 were pretty normal for guys, so i dont know if he meant they were too small or too big?

Either way, since no one has any advice on whether shoes are any good for guys, i will just say that people working at big5 are generally just not good at selling shoes

Difference is size #. My toes and a lot of my foot would bust through a woman's 11. I think you have men's.

If you are size 11, you would need a 13 ladies to fit you length-wise. And the width would still be different. But, most casual sport shoes are pretty unisexual these days. ....

God I've worked for a shoe company for too long. :nooo:
