You MUST see Mongol.

http://www.mongolmovie.com/

This movie is incredible!! :00hour

Its going to be a trilogy. The movie out now is the first part of the historical epic.

The battle scenes are simply amazing & intense. 2 words. Heavy Calvary.

Violent, yet beautiful.

Again a must see for any fans of Braveheart or anyone that enjoys historical type films & large scale battle scenes.

:nooo:

Two screens in all of Chicagoland. No screens in Bowling Green. Website trailer doesn't even work. Enjoy the memories.

Just cause it is not a mass release movie does not mean anything.

It is a GREAT movie.

Film only cost 20 million. It is a success $$ wise.

Mongol was released in the West in June 2008 and received strong reviews from most film critics. Roger Ebert gave the film a rating of three and a half out of four possible stars, observing in his review that Mongol "is all but overwhelming, putting to shame some of the recent historical epics from Hollywood".[1] His dictum was echoed by A.O. Scott of The New York Times who hailed Mongol as "a big, ponderous epic, its beautifully composed landscape shots punctuated by thundering hooves and bloody, slow-motion battle sequences".
As of July 11, Mongol had an 88% "Certified Fresh" approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.[4]

Must have subtitles for English viewers?

just found this... I put it on top of my Netflix queue

In the 12th century, an orphaned young slave named Temudjin (Tadanobu Asano) escapes from his captors and begins the journey that will lead him to become one of the greatest conquerors the world has ever known. Honglei Sun and Ying Bai co-star in this Oscar-nominated epic adventure from writer-director Sergei Bodrov, the first in a trilogy that spans the life story of Genghis Khan.

It does have subtitles. But you dont even realize you are reading after about 5 mins.

It wasnt released in the States until May or June of this year though. It was in Europe in '07.

I would buy the DVD no question for those interested.
