Heinsight is 20/20. But what has Miami done to upgrade/ improve itself since the humiliating loss to LSU? They got rid of all their coaches, suspended players, and god knows what else. The problem with most rookie gamblers is that they bet on the history of a team rather than the team on the field that night. Rather than argue with the Xerries, wise and wisers and other great cappers listen to them anjust your wager to your comfort level with their selection and only go against if you have solid numbers to do so. And remember the SEC rules. I am currently 6-0 on the season, I ritch Bit_h!!

the reason that fsu won is Cocker.

i had fsu , but they were dominated in the 1st half and miami was too conservative to take advantage..

A few other reasons for me:

I didn't think FSU would be able to run the ball or block the Miami Pass rush, however I thought Miami would feature the TE more and have the decided advantage in the running game. I thought FSU was a little too green at a few key positions on D, but I guess talent can really overcome that. Coker, could he be the Frank Solich of the south? He and OC Rich Olsen really lost that game for the canes. FSU D is a bitch, they played like men and showed a lot of poise when it looked like things could have came down on them. Miami does not have the killer instinct anymore, although they looked very disciplined tonite. If Miami loses 3 or more this year ( and now I think they will, Coker will be the next to go)

Mia D is strong but poor coaching and undisciplined

Mia D is strong but poor coaching and undisciplined

The free shoes U as it is called now, like the PAC - 10 has no home field advantage. I use to live in Miami, I know. Half the people there thought there was a soccer game going to be played. Small stadium lots of Cubans just not a good combination. If you want to factor in home field advantage go to a FLA, Tenn, UGA, or any top tier SEC school during a night game. Mia lacks discipline and the fact that Herbstreet picked them to win the NC is reason enough to bet against. How dumb is the gameday crew! Seriously CAL and Mia winning the NC? I would like to pay homage to the man, the myth, the legend long live the CROC HUNTER, we will miss you Steve!!!!!

Actually, the general public was on Florida State and true to form for almost every year, the general public wins in week 1 and will probably win in week two. After that, things will return to normal and the GP will lose their a$$ and the people that know how to handicap will win. To the GP, enjoy your early season success...it won't last much longer. GL TO ALL!

So. Cal
I think the problem with rookie gamblers is they get lucky 1 game and come on this site and talk down to the people that were on the other side of a very close game.

Please Ryan tell me how to make money like you do! Why dont you take your own advice and trail other gamblers here and stfu whether you win or lose. Its not like fla st wasnt dominated most of the game and miami did everything in its power to throw the game. If your patting yourself on the back for picking 1 game right and you were on te wrong side of the game for most of it, then fine. But dont make a dumbass post showing how ignorant you really are.

Edit- I just got done looking at wise's thread, and no disrespect to wise because me and him have had chuckles and picks together during college bball season, and unlike you he is a respectable guy. But to to say to everyone that we should just listen to wise and wiser and we are stupid and rookie gamblers if we dont is very funny after reading wise's thread.
Wise said he took Flast cause he thought their rushing attack would wear down the hurricanes defense.
Is that the same rushing attack that was last in the ACC last year? Or the rushing attack that was not even in the top 100 in rushing last year? Oops same one.

But your right ryan, like the veteran gambler you are you knew to bet not on the teams performance last year, but on the team that was on the field at the time. Good idea. And I am sure you expected the team on the field that you bet on to rush for 4 total yards?
Again no offense at all to Wise and Wiser who this joker tailed, and knowing wise he wont tout this (or any) play as him being a veteran capper and predicting the outcome.
But this joker ryan is another story. He is the guy you play cards with and hits runner runner on you and then tries to lecture you on what you did wrong. :142smilie: all i can do is laugh at this guy.

Couldn't have said it better myself BLGstocks. We should just ignore these rookie GP players anyway. In a few weeks, they will be crying about how they can't win a bet. It's simple really...the General Public ALWAYS does well in the first week or two and then the real people that know what they're doing grab the money the rest of the year. Might as well let them enjoy it now...they won't for long.

Wouldn't it be smart to just go with the public then? Why even handicap the first 2 weeks?

Maybe so. The public does win the first two weeks. Generally, I play it very small the first week and then ease into week 2. After that, I start playing bigger because the lines are off due to public reaction. Example, the public will be all over Tennessee now, even though they have been miserable at home trying to cover spreads. Their lines will be inflated since the public thinks they are "back". The GP will also deflate the Cal lines now that they think California is awful. It takes a few weeks for the oddsmakers to set the lines to hook the public where the rest of us can take advantage.

I think the linemakers might have me hooked into thinking Miami is garbage because, they were in rare form tonight. I have not seen them play that bad since, well there last game. But I will just stay away from miami for awhile, because they looked real bad at the end there.

blgstocks,

Yeah, so much for my analysis on the game. That Miami rush D is tough! Also, you know I hate when someone rubs a loss in my face. Nothing makes me madder! I'm still dying to meet up with Edludes and/or ssb some day. Ryan, there are some great cappers on this site. Some of them are just as good, if not better than I am, and some of those same cappers were on Miami last night. So, do yourself a favor, post your plays and keep quiet!

Well said Wise. You are a great handicapper and I always respect your wisdom and analysis. You are a true asset and a class act as well.
