I would play it cautious. I know with netteller done, some of you may be using them.

My most recent experience:

I'm not going to completely badmouth them yet, because I've been very happy with using them to fund and withdraw my poker accts the past 3 years or so with for the most part no problems until a little over a week ago.

I've used their debit card(electron card) for over 2 years and only had a small problem once which got quickly resolved, but about 10 days ago, I went to make a withdrawal and the ATM would not allow the transaction and returned the card. Upon logging into my online epassporte acct, I found that the funds were taken out of my acct. I then emailed them with NO response. I then called them and after being on hold for 35 minutes I finally was able to talk to someone live who told me they couldn't help until I filled out dispute forms that had to be faxed back to them.

I decided to go to the credit union that owned the ATM machine who told me that the ATM has balanced and that is was definitely on Epassporte's end of it. So the Credit union faxed the forms for me along with all of their info so Epassporte could contact them if needed.

Followed up to call Epassporte the next day(on hold 40 minutes) to see if they received the faxed forms in which I was told they don't know and won't know for 10-15 days because that's how long it takes to process a dispute. I was then told that they knew the problem was on their end, because they were having a lot of problems that particular day and could see that no funds were paid. Upon hearing that, I asked to talk to the person's supervisor and was told no problem but he's on the phone with another customer and will call me back as soon as he gets off the phone....YOU GOT IT...I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK.

Called the next day (on hold 45 minutes) and was promised that they will find out if the forms were received and would email me whether they have them or not the next day..Guess what....YEP, NO EMAIL WHATSOEVER...waited over 2 full days.

Once more called back again this past evening(on hold 55 minutes) and they still could not even tell me if they received the faxed forms!

Just getting the impression of a very unorganized company. I'm starting to think they are in way over their heads with maybe extra business since netteller is done?? Don't know, but I would be careful if you are using them. They clearly told me that they can see I didn't receive my money and yet are making me have to go through all this b.s. if I want to see that $$.

Sorry for the long winded description and it's not even a lot of $$ (under $300) but it just really pisses me off how they are handling(NOT HANDLING) this.

Also, As I said above, I've used them for around the last 3 years with no real problems. But it's taking upwards of an hour to even get to talk to anyone live and it's pathetic when they admit it's on their end and won't even correct the problem. Going on 10 days and they said it will be 10-15 days after they get to the complaint forms I faxed to them which they can't even tell me if they received yet. Oh and by the way, those forms they emailed to me to fax back to them ask for information that they already have, such as name, username, phone #, location of ATM, etc...all of which they already have, it's ridiculous.

FWIW, epassporte's address on the forms is listed in California which is kind of scary considering the US's situation with this stuff.

ok, I sent the money back to this epassporte account, but how do I withdraw it? I really don't want to pay 35 bucks for a card, and I don't want to give them my bank account info. There is no check withdraw option?? wtf? how do u get it out? Thanks.

SixFive......No, I don't think you can get a check from them. I've always used their electron(debit) card which costs $35 yearly to withdraw from Party(and now Stars). The convenience was definitley worth it for me. Could pull up to $300 a day out of the sites and no waiting for a check.

An option for you is to use the money you have in there for purchases you might make over the net that take visa. Just use the virtual visa number they give you. Otherwise, just throw it back in Stars and have them cut you a check.

In case anyone's wondering, I finally got my money put back in my acct. 2 weeks after the incident. Went thru a lot more BS before I finally got someone to cooperate with me. Even had to fax the forms again.

This company is just so swamped by new signups, they are a mess right now. I probably made around 7 phone calls to them and you're lucky if you get a live person within an hour. Did read where they are hiring a lot more to handle the extra business.

Also, another interesting thing is the grade that the California Better Business Bureau gives this company. It's an "F" which is the worst possible. Here's the link:

thanks, fan. I tried to use my number to buy a gift certificate at Amazon, but it hasn't gone through yet. My epassporte account shows the purchase as "outstanding" and has taken $1 off of my balance?? Hope it's just taking time and will work?? Are there any fees for using the number online?

SixFive.....Can't really be of any help with your question. Did they just take $1 out or the whole amount of your purchase plus a buck? I've only used it maybe twice a couple years ago to purchase online and didn't have any problems, but have just used epassporte for the debit card mainly the last couple of years.

still shows the transaction as outstanding, and my balance is $1 less than what I have. I don't really understand what's going on, and they have no cs. Kinda chitty. Guess I'll just have to wait. Maybe stars can send me a check for some of the money I have in my account because I certainly don't want these guys to have anymore of it. :com:
