The spread has dropped 1 1/2 pts since yesterday.

Who is betting on Richmond?

I mean that literally. Who HERE at this forum, reading THIS POST is betting on Richmond?

I just want to know why? And, this is important, some reasonings behind it BEFORE the game is played. Played Fordham last night at 6' before the drop and thinking of getting some more at -5. Richmond has one playmaker and zero depth. Apparantly Im still missing something on this game.

Update after todays action.

Temple absolutely beatdown Rhode Island by almost 30 points.

The last team Fordham played was...

Yep.

Fordham broke a 34-Game Losing Streak in Philadelphia vs Temple.

This game and the line have me baffled. Id lay up to 8 points with Fordham despite expecting a low scoring affair. Just do not think that Richmond will score more than 55 points.

9 Bender.

I am playing Richmond tonight. Why? Good Question.

I pay attention to where a line opens and have been succesful with the plays that move more than 3.5 points. I always take the team that is influencing the move - in this case its Richmond. For some reason there must be a lot of money being layed on Richmond.

Other past examples of this movement was NC Wilimington (opened at PK closed at -4) the other night - and just this afternoon with Temple (opened at -2 and closed at -5.5), an easy cover.

Monday night Bowling Green didn't cover this philosophy (opened at +18 and closed at +13.5) and got blown out.

ANOTHER PLAY tonight will be E. Carolina (opened +9.5 now is +4).

Ok, I found out somewhat why there was a backlash line movement. Partially b/c well to be honest, most folks dont lay points with Fordham and havent for years. Mostly with good reason. Its also a big play with a pay serv. Oh well. Im shaking in my boots over here going up against a 200,000 star play.

That being said.

Im making this a 2x play. Im in love with it. Better defense, better rebounds.... Hell, even the Richmond coach said after the game this year that they were the best team in-conf he has seen. Ok, it was early Feb but still.

Im not a tout, nor a pay service. Its not wise to lay points in games that are expected to be low scoring. You pick your spots, and this is one of them IMO. Just hit the free throws. Pretty please, with sugar on top. Hit the ****in' free throws.

Fordham -6 1/2 (last night, ugh)
&
Fordham -4 1/2

First off, UCF opened at 6 and Temple at 6. Where in God's name did Temple open at 2 and UCF AT 9.5?

I was hammering refresh couple of days ago in Pinnacle(like I'd have anything better to do), and when the lines came up they were like this: UCF -9.5, Richmond +11.5 and Temple -2.

That is correct. A very rare judgement error from Pinny on the early line. Somebody had to get their ass fired for a mistake like that :sadwave:

When handicapping its very important to look at the game from both sides and if possible - all angles.

Here is the 200,000 star writup

Richmond definitely went through that horrific month recently where they dropped eight straight both SU and ATS but the win over UMASS at home shows how these Spiders are not as dreadful as they looked in that span which involved a bunch of tough games on the road.

Fordham is the better team and is coming off two monster wins over LaSalle and Temple but the Rams still cannot be such a hefty chalk in this spot. Chris Mooney's squad will slow the pace as usual and make this thing a low scoring affair making this half a dozen or so number equal gold.

Fordham is a team that is solid to back when they are getting a lot because they are not terrible like in the past. But they are not exactly used to being a chalk or a team that should blow out anybody. The Spiders can definitely win this thing and to be getting a healthy price is more then enough for me!

Still doesnt change my take. One game will never make or break a seasoned veteran. I might be wrong, but still laying the points in this A-10 conference game.

Those numbers are off J. Feist handicapping - so I guess they opened at those numbers somewhere.

Good Luck though.

Final FORDHAM 45 Richmond 37

You cannot get sharper than that. Had this game pegged dead center yesterday. Landed exactly on the eight.

Cheers to those who followed.
