I know a few in here got on Forrest at pretty good +odds. I took him @+140 for 5 dimes max wager. Odds are now -160 which I still think is decent value. I can scalp and get a few easy bucks but I just think Forrest has too much for Baldy. He has advants in ht (5 in), reach, speed, power, movement. Baldy is the stronger fighter but Vernon can bang harder. Baldy is slow and plodding. Even Gatti was able to have a little success. Unless Vernon is shot, I don't see him losing. He got spooked after getting ktfo by mayo and he's not the same fighter he once was but I still like him to win a dec here. Baldy will get in some sneaky shots as he did on Zab and Floyd but he's just not busy enough. Forrest took Ikes shots and Baldy's pop doesn't compare. Thoughts?

Inactivity, injuries, desire to win are the main things to be concerned about when facing someone that's hard to discourage like Baldy. But your right, world's apart in boxing skills-talent.

bad for forrest.....

1)i thought vernon struggled mightily vs quartey.....and a strong argument couid be made that he got a gift decision....

2)he`s shown that he struggles vs pressure fighters...

3)i doubt that he can hurt a very strong chinned and resilient baldomir....

bad for baldomir....

1)height/reach/ability.....

2)baldomir has been waaaaayyy overrated off wins over a shot gatti and a mentally disturbed zab judah....

3)first fight at jr middle...7 pounds up the scale....he`s 36 years old.......so he`s a natural welterweight...not a jr middle...

4)he "shouldn`t" be able to hurt forrest...

if forrest lets baldomir overwhelm him,i`ll be shocked...baldy`s not a banger at welter...he shouldn`t be at jr middle......

i`ll say this for vernon......even when things weren`t going his way vs ike,and he obviously wasn`t able to really hurt quartey, forrest kept plugging away...he still has the will...

i doubt that forrest can hurt baldomir either...so,he`ll probably have to fight for the full 12...

two 36 year olds....the chance that one guy steps in the ring this time and just doesn`t have it anymore is a possibility...more so for forrest because his skill and reflexes are his strengths...

forrest should have enough...if he can`t get by baldomir(sort of a smaller oscar bonavena...a less talented victor galindez),it may be time to start delivering pizzas...

i wish i`d seen that +140...that`s really outta line...

This sums it up pretty well.

I thought Forrest would beat Quarty more easily. He certainly isnt the fighter he once was.

The over seems to be an interesting option as well, for reasons mentionned above. (bwin over 9 40%)

Forrest is the favorite, but he aint all that slick and isnt a volume puncher either....

I like Baldy here but i need to do a liitle more research. Weasel you are right Forrest got a big time gift beating Quartey. he lost that fight and im not sure it was that close. I bet Forrest that night and i felt like i robbed a bank. Forrest wont hurt Baldy. I think Baldy keeps this very close. I dont know what the over and under is but the only way i see a knockout is if by Baldy.

Hey Zerwas welcum aboard. We have a nice little MMa and boxing gig here and it seems like its growing a little every week. We fight, we breakballs, and fight night we get serious. Hang out some and see if you like it. The only problem we have here is this BoxLocks character tries to talk about the WWE. Just look past it and every thing will be fine.

And you wonder why I don't return the favor on the reputation bar. Hell, a few days ago I didn't give you one b/c it would've given you the lead on me...lol. Now all of the sudden you got 28 bars in 2 days like the madjack crew finally decided you're not that crazy after all. Perhaps it was the NBA referree exposure that made you lord of the degenerates

Btw, I actually watched 5 minutes of that WWE sh*t the other night just to get a good laugh, it was absolutely brutal.
Ricky Hatton was in the crowd though, pickin' up some new moves no dought

:mj07: you dont have to give me one. i just use them like emails to talk to people. I hate the system tho where i have to send so many out to get to people i want to talk to in private. I wanted to talk to someone tonight so i had to deal out a bunch. Now im stuck on this "you have gave out to many reputation points in 24 hrs try again later" lol. By tomorrow i wont remember who the hell i wanted to talk to.:mj07: By the away box what the hell did you do to Scotty? Do you still think he is alive? On another note i gave out a red one tonight to the guy i probably respect the most on this site. Im disappointed in him. Getting involved in that silly fantasy football shit it is worst than the WWE.

5dimes now seems to be consistent on their variety on boxing bets. :)

Forrest leads after 3 rounds on Lederman's cards for 62.5% looks pretty solid to me.

Forrest has height, reach, technique and punching power over Baldy, Baldy's strengths, i.e. chin, keeps up the pressure... will probably start to show later in the fight.

Lederman usually knows how to score fights, he sometimes tends to give a close round to a fighter who is down to make things closer, but this shouldnt be a big factor here...

It's still a gamble with only 3 rounds though....
