Who cares? Goings is better than Foster. He is a more multi-dimensional back. Don't bet against Carolina just because Foster probably won't play on Sunday.

they need foster. for depth at the very least. foster is a more powerful runner.imo

Goings is not better than Foster, but this is nothing new to the Panthers. They are very comfortable with Goings, and he had a hell of a season last year with Foster and Davis out. I don't think Panthers are worse off with Goings as a team, but talent-wise Foster is a better player
I like what I'm seeing, basically the consensus is that the Panthers do need Foster but they have a running back that can fill in for 15 or so carries so the D won't cheat!

Goings is a better receiver out of the backfield than Foster. Goings has the ability to take a screen pass to the house. As far as running the ball is concerned, Davis, Foster, and Goings have all run effectively behind this offensive line. Running the football is what Carolina does well. My main point of this thread was to warn people not to bet against Carolina on Sunday just because Foster is unlikely to play. There are other reasons to bet against Carolina, but this is not one of them. Good luck!

Doesn't it make you wonder just a little...why, if Carolina is the better team, they are the underdog. If that's true then why are the books willing to give away free money. I wonder about things like this.
because if it was minus anything for Carolina, the wagon would be full! However, a 2.5 line looks a lot better than a 4.5 line...kinda does make you do a little more work
