Having 25 piers put in under my foundation to level it back out. The house has dropped a full four inches on one corner. They have about ten men out here that absolutely bust through this shit like butter. I'll take some pics and post later. For the time being I'm learning a new language. ....texican. At least that's what I've been told that's the dialect.

Hope this helps,
FDC

Texican, that is funny :142smilie:142smilie:142smilie

I bet they're busting through it with ten men.

Are you doing any side improvements on the place FDC? Might be some opportunity there being you're such a good craftsman?

Hey Jon,
Yeah, I'll have to do quite a few things. The house is old by North Fort Worth standards only but i like my house. I'll have to replace my flooring in my living room and two three of the bedrooms which now has Australian Cypress hardwood on it. The majority of the wood is just fine but due to the 2nd bad luck flood I had the floor in the living room has warped and popped up in one area. Fixing it would be cost prohibitive compared to ripping it all out.

Like I said the majority of the wood is fine so if Gibber or someone in my area is looking for wood flooring, speak up now. It's from Belleau wood and can be put back down.
I'll also be completely redoing my master bath and the cabinets in the kitchen. All that I'll do myself, unfortunately I may need a new roof as well so that will be happening first and I'll probably paint and replace some siding.

The floors though are going to be fabulous. I'm going to do an concrete overlay and strain but it's the design I'm putting in that is gonna be killer. I have a large living room so I'm going to put a mosaic inset in the middle of my own design.

If you have a home in the DFW area it's just something that everyone is use to. I'm getting ready to have to do the same thing. You can even see it with my pool. The water line reaches higher on one end than it does the other. The bad thing is, I don't think they can do the same thing with pools.(maybe I'm wrong though I've never checked it out.

I'm not sure if they can or not. I do have a buddy that owns Colleyville pools and I can ask him. I just resurfaced a pool deck and they were replastering the pool and it had a huge crack in the pool that caused it to sink in on one side.
