It's been a crazy week for online sports betting when you take a look back at the college football landscape. So much has changed and it's been a measley three weeks of action. People making their weekly sports picks have been completely shocks with some of the things that have happened and if you take a look at the originial preseason AP poll, you might be surprised to see how many changes have been made since.
There have been more than just a handful of upsets in the college football season so far - so many that even the NFL betting line has been changed because odds makers are expecting upsets in the Pros too.
Here is a list of some of the main upsets to start the season:
-No. 3 Oklahoma was upset by the BYU Cougars, which took place on a neutral field
-No. 7 Virginia Tech took a loss at the hands of the higher-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide
-No. 13 Georgia was toppled by No. 9 Oklahoma State
-No. 16 Oregon was upset by No. 14 Boise State
-No. 5 Oklahoma State was crushed by Houston
-No. 3 USC lost to Washington
-No. 7 BYU was upended by the Florida State Seminoles
-No. 14 Georgia Tech lost to the unranked Miami Hurricanes
-No. 18 Utah lost to Oregon
So what does all that mean? It means that Ole Miss is all the way up to No. 4 in the standings, which means that a BCS Championship game is now a realistic possibility. For Ole Miss, though, everyone has fallen in front of them and they have yet to be tested. They will get tested this week as they head to South Carolina.
The Gamecocks have been up-and-down this season but one thing that the Rebels should be concerned about is the Gamecocks improved offense. Two weeks in a row now they've racked up a ton of points and everyone knows that the SC defense is still pretty good.
The difference in this contest will have to be the quarterbacking play for Ole Miss. Quarterback Jevan Sneed is supposed to be one of the best in college football and he's supposed to be a Heisman candidate. We'll get a really good idea of where he's at right now.
Look for Ole Miss to have their season ruined in a hurry as SC moves into the Top 25
