I guess that pushes my over off the table.

My prediciton was an early Niemann exit with Moore coming in for long relief. Bold move by Maddon and it just might work.
Moore was great down on the farm, including throwing a no-hitter. Outstanding in very limited bigs experience, too, including mowing down the Yanks at home (sitting A-Rod, Cano and Granderson, mind you). Yeah...11 K's in 5 worked for that one, setting the mark for most K's by a TB rookie in his first GS. Dude (22 since June) entered '011 rated #15 prospect by Baseball America and ended his 5-year minors career with 700 K's in 497.1 innings.

I thought the Rangers would (again) feast on Niemann but now I don't know what to do. Rays +163 is not unlike a temptation.

Now I need a beer.
And they don't open for 7 -0.33 hours.

well...looks like this was announced around 9pm est, or about 6.66 hours ago.
My bets were down before and then I was distracted by food and football.

Anybody have vsR/L splits for minor league pitchers?
I can't seem to find that anywhere, including baseball reference.corn.

Rangers can sure stack their lineup with righties (Moore is an L). Might just have Hamilton in as an L, though David Murphy would have started if it was Niemann (still might).

Looks like a strong wind out to right which would best help lefty power hitters, though the Rangers lineup can usually hit 'em wherevas off of whoevas.
Rays enjoying long ball, lately, as well.
In fact, vs lefties, Rays hit an HR every 0.033 AB's to Tex vs L every 0.039 AB's (53 TB, 58 Tex...not plate appearances, just AB's...I've done enough math for one day).

Rays sure haven't enjoyed facing Wilson in the past but methinks they will be pumped for whoever, especially without that (IMO) stiff Niemann going, who has truly overachieved this season.

...lord, I was born a ramblin' man...

That 14mph wind out to right is now 10mph left-to-right.
(glad I'm not a weatherwoman)
Might knock down some punches pulled by righties, or at least blow out some empty candy wrappers from the left-field bleachers thus saving the groundscrew a little more time to get home to where their fat and psychopathic would thrash them within inches of their lives.
