Amazon.com is selling this book. The book says that men who sexually pursue young boys are not bad people, but, "loving human beings."

My personal opinion is that this is just wrong and I don't understand why Amazon.com is willing to sell a book that would benefit pedophiles. I'm all for freedom of speech, but I believe this book is beyond freedom of speech and bordering criminal action by providing information and encouraging pedophilia.

What are you guys' opinion?

As a pedophile myself I found this book to be enlightening in my quest to truly come to terms with my own sexuality... Although it doesn't glorify child molestation it does attempt to shed the positive aspects of a healthy boy/male relationship... For anyone trying to understand this phenomenon that is fairly commonplace in society this brave book argues the point as well as any other...

A must-read, June 8, 2000

As a boylover, I found this book extremely helpful. But it is not intended for the boylover community: it is meant for the general public who fear the phenomenon of pedosexuality. As such, it sets out to explain in plain language what this phenomenon is about.

I would strongly recommend this book to the non-pedosexual public because it offers a valuable insight into a world totally foreign to them. By explaining what 'pedophiles' really are, it may help parents to understand that there may actually be benefits to such relationships.

This book does not promote wanton sex with minors. It merely asks the reader to acknowledge the inherent sexuality of children. Nor does it glorify sexual abuse: in fact, it takes a strong stand against that.

What it does is to deal with a reality that cannot be wished away. And what better way to equip yourself to deal with reality than to know the facts?

pedophilia is a disease and an addiction....very hard to cure.....

one of the dangers with sexual divulgence is that satisfaction is never attained and one is always pushed to seek further fulfillment.....this leads to more and more exploration and again further disfulfillment.....it is a positive feedback cycle and culminates with many of the dysfunctions we see in todays society....

we all have sexual urges and it is healthy to have them....however we must not let ourselves become overwhelmed by them or they will consume us and eventually define us...that is one of the ways pornography leads to sexual disfunction.....

pedophilia puts scars on children for life and these scars are harder to heal then wounds of rape......pedophilia is a selfish act only concerned with one's own sexual deviancy......sex in a loving relationship is much more than that and IS fulfilling because it is healthy for a man and woman to GIVE this gift to each other...True love is all about giving and respecting your beloved's health and well-being --- pedophiles and other deviants need to first come to terms with this before they can overcome their addiction/illness/dysfunction

IMO, Amazon.com has dishonestly described their decision to sell this book as a "Freedom of Speech" issue. My thinking is they believe they will make $$$ on it, especially after this recent controversy, and are unafraid of any potential boycotts from any powerful special interest groups.

To prove my point, I highly doubt you will ever find any books there sympathetic to men who rape women, white racism, polygamy (at least not in the case where a man has multiple wives), homophobia, etc.

As disgusting as the latter hypothetical possibilities I just gave, none are any worse than the former reality.
