Golden State at Memphis......first inclination is to lay the 4 points even though it is ---- golden state laying points on the road ---- but, i think the state of golden is developing confidence....they blew the knicks out of the garden with Jamison playing terrible......golden had a rest day today and i look for them to be fresh tomorrow.....also look for a low scoring game because the memphis team simply does not have a lot of options and the guard play here is very subpar.....shooting for the memphis has been aweful this year......both teams had an off day so defense should be intense because Memph should hope to get first win in this spot and Golden wants to get to 500......

Gonna play this one both ways.....
UNDER 197 (freeze frame POD)
GS -4

Orlando at Utah.........Orlando coming off a game in LA which they blew in the 4th quarter.....do not like to play the Jazz this year especially against superior teams....Ewing vs. Malone battle in the battle of the vertical leap.....i say Malone's 14 inch vertical beats Ewings 11.5 inch vertical and that accounts for the difference in the spread.....seems like a push.....lol......no play for me

Plays:
Golden State
GS Under 197

Freeze, I've been following your NBA for the last couple of weeks, needless to say I'm on the under. Amazing work. But can't help feeling Memphis is gonna keep this one really close, any further thoughts?

Memphis could very well keep it close.....but......

Dickerson is out....he is their best perimeter scorer on a bad team......

The way I see this one, is if the Over hits, which ruins my POD, the Golden State wins in a blowout.......so that is the main reason i am playing them too.....anytime i am almost certain that two plays cannot both lose, i will play both of them.....i just don't see this Memphis team hitting 97 points which is what it would take to beat me twice (unless there is an OT)....Golden state should play tough defense because they think they are for real.....read a post game quote from Jamison which gives me confidence in him........you can go to ESPN team page of Golden state to see it -- should be still up.....and seeing that quote makes me think that there will not be a letdown and that the defense should be tough tonight.....which is what i am making my play on -- plus i like Jamison to have a big night against a pretty soft interior and Battier is struggling guarding athletic players.....

think the best play is the Under....but I am playing Golden State too...because this Memphis team is capable of being run out of any gym outside of Illinois and Ohio...good luck....

I think I have to agree with you Dr Freeze, although BOTH plays are in the minority. I've seen a lot of cappers on MEM and OVER. My question is, who's gonna score for MEMPHIS??? J. Williams is very sporadic, and yes, he could get hot tonite at home and hit for 25, but I wouldn't bet on it. Gasol, the rook, looks very good. He's gonna be a stud in this league eventually. Battier had a terrible game last time out, and his confidence can't be high knowing he has to contend with JAMISON. IF Memphis, cannot hit for at least 45% from the field, currently under 40% at 39.2, they stand no chance. G STATE rule the boards! MEM was outrebounded by both PHO and LAC, 32-50 & 36-52,
eek.gif
teams the WARRIORS outrebounded 48-41 & 49-44. As I mentioned, MEM will have to shoot lights out tonite to win this game, and I've yet to see them come close to that. I'm not sure I'm that confident laying points on the road with these WARRIORS, but at 4-1 ATS on the road, as a dog mostly, they obviously aren't bothered by the crowd. They are coming off two ROAD WINS vs other poor rebounding teams, WASH and NY, so why expect a team that's worse offensively to compete with them just because they are home!

Hi Dr. Freeze

u do a great job .. I was thinking along the same lines .. dickerson is out ..
(sharif/bibby) no longer there. Williams is too flashy for my liking and takes too many early shots.

Had gone to the Raptors/GS game in Toronto and they are pretty good. Also henderson is back.

Do u play a parlay or single plays ??
(just wondering)

Cheers :)

i am not playin a parlay here because i do not like the correlation in this case for the extra juice but do think both plays will hit....

the main strength to plays of this sort is an "anti"-correlation play so the two sides are my only plays.....i think the only way memphis keep this close is if GS struggles shooting the ball and i think the only way it goes over is if GS shoots the ball well and runs them out of the gym which could happen because Hughes has been playing well of late and Mookie had a good game the other night with Jamison flying on the wings....plus a great rebounding team against a poor shooting team (knicks vs. GS) makes that rebounding advantage even more of a factor......

Rander -- i totally agree and am gonna bet against Williams anytime....he shoots well one out of four nights at best and that is a good enough percentage for me for the under to be a strong play.....basically this team needs Wright to score 25+ and have two more guys show up offensively for this over to hit.....and we can pretty much cross Williams name off before the tip.....

FINALLY! I found someone else besides me thats taking GS! GS is gonna win by double digits...they won tbe able to stop Jamison, Fortson, nad Hughes. I still dont understand why people are taking Memphis...because its a "must win" for them? Must win for what...they arent expected to win..the lakers are a team to be expected to win. Memphis getting thumped by every team so far. I took them when they played the Clippers and even teased them and STILL lost. Memphis blows! They have no chance. No Dickerson...Reeves they have no namers and Jason Williams isnt helping them any. GS is a team on the rise that in my mind, will make the playoffs. Golden State wins by DOUBLE DIGITS.

whoah!!!!!! GS in the playoffs? lol....that is a bit far.....

LAL
SA
Minne
Dallas
Port.
Sac
Sea.
Utah
LAC
Hou.
Phoenix

Pick 4 of those teams GS will beat......even Denver (with McDyess) I think is better than them.....we will see though......GS is definitely a better team than they are getting credit for though.....and if they were in the East, they would probably be a playoff team i agree, but in the West? not quite yet IMO

Agree with Freeze totally ..

Dont think its a play off team in the west
In the east .. 3-4 competetive teams.

Playing same play as freeze.

Any ideas on playing first half. I usually play first half as its much more competetive for the total. Maybe the defense picks up in the second half .. teams get tired .. so better for under for full game ..

any comments since i am new to analyzing games ..

thanx and cheers !!!

Dr. Freeze

What a game. Thought that GS would go down after all those free throws.

Good Day. Have a third parlay with
GS/Memphis under 197
GS moneyline and
Utah/ORL under 197

lets see what happens.

Cheers !!!
(GF seems to be happy suddenly. I wonder why ;-) )

GS reminds me of last year's Clips. Should take awhile for the public to catch on.
