One outright with a little appeal for me...

Coria +450 (2 units)

Federer isn't as all-conquering on the dirt - still fantastic, but not unbeatable - while red hot Nadal has to has some doubts with the injury/blister probs... Coria is fit and a clay expert, value in the price...

GL all :)

lowell - yeah, a lot shorter at some books, really have to shop around for tennis, prices vary a lot, I got this late last week at sportingbet... too short for me at other prices.
Have been looking hard at 1st rd matchups and will post plays here in a few hrs...

Future Bets
----------------

Federer, Nadal and Coria NOT to win the French Open $3.60 *1 unit

Kim Clijsters to win tourney $8.00 *1 unit

remember....this is men's tennis, taking a play at $3.60 for 125 players to win it over three isn't that bad in my opinion, I'd say odds are worth it :)

As for Kimmy.......can't mess with those odds.....worth a shot :)

and quick tips for those of you that don't usually wager on tennis.........shop around!!!!

as Anders says, prices vary big time on tennis bets, especially on "big events" like the French Open. Meaning.....there are books that only carry Grand Slams and barely move the lines, for example a particular player will open at say $2.00 and the price will never move.....it's weird...really depends on the book........and most importantly pay attention to your particular books tennis rules:

some say....one point must be played for bet to stand.....some say one set...some say 2 sets...and some say match must be completed...so pay attention!!!!!!!

England, u.k.
It's been awhile since I posted here at madjacks (accept for the fleeting moments) due to health issues i am sure several of you know about. Just an update, I have got over my second bout of cancer and I am on my way to recovery.

Hope to back here in this forum over the coming weeks, but more likely once the cricket season gets into full swing and football season in the late summer.

Just to add my recommendations here for the French Open.

OUTRIGHT

3 units win Roger Federer at +250

4 units win Justine Henin-Hardenne at +150

It's good to see some of the same guys are still here like Anders, Kickserv and Pawa

Glad to hear things are improving Bulldog. Look forward to the cricket plays as Windies have been bankrupting me in the ODI's

I like Nieminen to upset Aggasi as the value play of the first round French Open.

whoops.......I read the score wrong in the Calatrava match...thought he won.....in actuality the match was suspended, the 5th will be played on Day 2.........so ummm my record above is with Calatrava winning the 5th :mj07:

so ummm.....we'll just assume he wins the 5th and my record is correct....if he loses...then ummm guess I'll have to change it :)

anyway......on to Day 2 selections :)
