FRESNO STATE +7.5 (Friday) - Boise State may be 5-1 and averaging 43.3 points per game, but they have taken advantage of a very soft schedule. They have run up their impressive point totals vs. the likes of Tulsa, Idaho, and Utah State, but they bombed badly vs. their only quality opponent so far, losing 41-14 to Arkansas. On the other hand, Fresno State has gone 4-3 vs. a much tougher schedule. Aside from their blowout loss at Oregon State, their other 2 defeats have been by 2 points at Wisconsin and by 4 points at Oregon. They also own a victory over a Colorado State team that is at least as good as this Boise State unit. Considering the difficulty of their schedule, the Bulldogs defense could actually be commended for allowing 27.0 points per game. I feel that they will get enough stops in this game vs. a possibly overconfident Boise team to slide in under this line, with a real shot at pulling off the upset.

Thanks for the pick, I like it. Hate to go against a team that has been so dominant at covering as a home favorite but it looks like it is worth a play. As you mentioned Fresno has played the much tougher schedule and think they can trade points with Boise and get w/in this #. A little revenge doesn't hurt as Boise ruined Fresno's dream season last year. GL!

Just my $0.02. Agree Fresno has played tougher teams but they have struggled agains Rice and SMU (lucky to make spread). Just feel BSU is better edition then last year whereas Fresno is a lesser team from lst year. Also, BSU had the big edge in offense and defenses about even. But, the big advantage is the venue. Boise is just about unbeatable at home and will take it here.
