looks like 2 pretty safe bets for friday........mcbride`s opponent isn`t much....and for that matter, neither is crawford anymore....he was never world class in his best day,anyway...he can`t beat upper echelon fighters....
just pray that lucas doesn`t get cut.....
as far as morales is concerned,i actually want to bet him.....but,i heard rumors that he might be doing some "yayo"(as one boxing writer put it)....that and a history of hard fights gives me pause.....
still,as pedro fernandez said,if morales can keep his left(lead) foot outside of manny`s lead right foot,he can make him pay with his reach and some straight right hands down the pike....
the mexican big 3(morales,barrera,marquez) have to realize that unlike most other fighters, pacquaio doesn`t give them any respect....doesn`t allow them to settle in to fights at their own pace....he jumps on them...from the first bell....they don`t seem to get it....barrera learned from pacquaio and jumped on morales from the jump in their last fight....and morales never really got out of the gate....
morales has never been stopped...if he`s stupid and thinks he can start at a leisurely pace,he could get stopped early.....if he weathers the early storm that will certainly come,he has a chance to put some hurt on manny late....eric has more experience at the weight....should be naturally a little bigger...
i believe that barrera has morales` number..styles make fights....the fact that pacquaio handled barrera and marquez doesn`t automatically mean that he handles morales` style....
if i can find a +140,i`ll play morales myself, even though i don`t think he`s the same guy he used to be.....
as far as it not going the distance....it is a lefty/righty situation....and pacquaio will be darting in to land that big straight left....wouldn`t be a bit surprised to see a cut or two....
