Fri Aztecs @ Boise

I remember this matchup last year at San Diego.. it wasn't pretty for my Aztecs at all.
It was the first time I'd seen Ashton Jeanty, and he must've broken at least 3 runs of 30+ yards.. Aztec defenders bounced off him like he was Earl Campbell.

tonight the point spread is Boise -23.5, and I don't like what might happen on national TV

I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I'm leaning strongly on Boise..
Aztecs have a true freshman QB.. Boise has a strong home field/crowd..
Jeanty has gone from unknown into Top 5 Heisman candidate.. and I don't think Aztecs do anything to stop him tonight.
Aztecs DO have a new head coach (6'8", looks like Coach Beard from Ted Lasso lol), and I like the direction the program is moving..
BUT... Jeanty is a Bull! a very fast Bull!

I wish there was an ov/un on yards rushing.. he prob breaks 200 and won't play 4th qtr

But Aztecs have the better coach. And coming off the big game they just had vs. UNLV and now a short week??? For me, its Aztecs or nada.

well, Boise up 25 @ the half... definitely worth more than my 1u wager lol (shame on me!)

what's amazing is how well Aztecs have defended against Jeanty.. 15 carries/37 yards..

BUT.. when u stack the box to stop the run, it leaves the DBs playing man-to-man.. and getting burned on play action pass
by a decent QB Madsen to some pretty good quality WRs

not sure about any 2h plays here, take my hundy and figure out where to put it manana!

College buddy of mine texts me complaining about the game, and wanting to fire the coach lol
I say, it's still his first year! U can't fire him unless he's molesting the towel boy or something
Aztecs are not a program w/$$$ laying around to buy out contracts..
reality is most every coach needs at least 3-4 years to gather "their recruits" and build the program.

The Fball program has been respectable most of the last 20 yrs, but after they lost Rocky Long, went down a bit.
