Good Luck Tonight!

I have the same play also, so let's both be winners. Freddie Cuevas looks pretty durable and I think he can last more than 4.5 rounds.

Good luck fellas!

I would like this play alot more
if it wasn't Taylor made. Fight is
in his back yard and I hope he
does't try to show off with a quik
ko. But Cuervo is durable and 4.5
is a very low number.

Small play Taylor over 4.5 -145
Small play Jantuah over 9.5 +110

Jantuah over 8.5 just went to -150
at Olympic. If you hurry, you can get
my line at "the other book"

I got on the over in the Taylor fight so thanks for that one. It was a great fight. I like this Taylor kid to move up and challenge some of the middleweights. I want to win some cash on this guy.

In being new at the boxing wagering game, I have the following observation and I was wondering what others thought.

This fight was listed as O/U 4.5 rounds for a 12 round fight.

I have been confused by them setting overs at 9.5 in a 10 round fight recently.

Cuesvas had never been knocked out and Taylor was 16-0. Did they set the line low like this because if they had set it at 10 everyone would have taken the over ?

By setting the line at 4.5 they tried to make us think the fight would be short. Do the line setters play these games with us in boxing ?

just wondering.

thanks again

First of all, there is no way I would have
played the over if it was at 10 rounds.

The oddsmakers job is the same in boxing
as it is in any other sport. To put the line
where it will receive even money on each
side and keep their book from taking a hit.

If the oddsmaker thinks the fight will go the
distance, why would he put the line at 4.5?
He would be taking a huge risk of getting
all the action on the most probable side.

If you were the oddsmaker for a book and
you thought a fight would go the distance,
would you put the line at 4.5?

I believe that the oddmakers trying to get even money on each side is a fallacy.

I think the oddmakers try to clean clocks ! And the clocks are us.

If the oddsmakers were concerned about too many overs
they would set the line to pull in the suckers at under 4.5. At first glance this makes a sports wagerer think there will be a KO. It did me anyways.

Cuevos has never having been knocked out.

Taylor at 16-0 tough kid to KO. Could be said that the over was obvious is what I am saying. Unless you are in the know alot of ppl would have taken the under thinking KO.

Lets pretend for a second that you
are right and the 4.5 round line on
the Taylor fight was a trick to get
idiots to bet on the under based
solely on the line...

IT DIDN'T WORK!!!

The books got hammered on the over.
Everyone and their dog was on the over.
I don't think they will try that trick ever
again! Books learn their lessons fast
and the boxing oddsmakers have a job
to keep. If their book takes a hit like it
did last night and they find out that its
because the oddsmaker was trying to
trick guys like Fletcher, GW and I...
Its his ass!!!

There are alot of obvious overs out there
right now and all of them you have to pay
-300 to -400 for over 9.5 rounds.

Either way the object is the same.
If the oddsmakers are playing tricks,
it makes things that much easier because
the line is not where it should be. As long
as we do our capping we will beat any
trick they throw at us. I would much rather
have a book try to give a trick line than
put the line where it should be. The
oddsmakers don't know any more than
we do, the info is all right there.

Like I said, if that was a trick line, I don't
think they will try it again anytime soon!

OK then thanks.

But now the big question is what will they do next time ?

If we figure that out and see the adjustment, we can make
some big cash.

I smell money and it smells green.
