Thanks for the accolades guys, as I mentioned, the "Feeling like Ground Hog Day" is mainly in reference to coming in, posting plays, signing out.... Wash and repeat.

I do appreciate people letting me know that what I'm posting is helping, hurting, or simply indifferent........ Would be just as easy sending out an email in the morning, to guys that want my plays (Englishman knows what I'm talking about)...... And have at it (early bird style) *Can make a big difference in your bottom line....... It doesn't make much sense to come in here each day and post plays, then guys that I have known for quite a while or I have on my email list, get edged out of a point or two because they were late getting to the party.

Does that make sense? (*I'm functioning on 2.5 hours of sleep lol)

I had to go back a bit and read up on what happened to Hawkeye....... I thought maybe something had happened to him or his family and finally went back and read what took place and frankly it didn't sit well with me. I realize it's a forum that is moderated by decent people but felt like more of an effort should've been made to reach out to keep him here (especially for everything he has contributed to MJs over the years). He was one of the few guys in here that I was comfortable in betting a pick without due diligence on my side.... Don't get me wrong, there are other great cappers here, but here's the thing, if you come to MJs looking for advice, help, picks, or whatever the reason (some people are new, some simply don't have the time, some are just bad) for whatever your purpose is, it's recommended (by me anyway) to find a couple of good cappers and stick with them. Trouble looms when you start mixing and meshing various punters plays, and it gets very hard to hit that magical 52.4% and it's hard enough to beat this game by yourself, but throw in picks from some of the guys that love to beat their chests until they hit a cold streak, and it's a losing prop. Please don't take this as a lecture, it's not, it's just mo.

So, perhaps, I should go back to just sending out my plays to guys on my email list, so they get the benefit of the best numbers that I'm playing? I mean, besides you D and a few other people (u know who you are) is that something you would want? I could still come in to MJs once in a while when I felt like I had something particularly strong worth sharing..... It's primarily the same set of guys that pop in once in a while to offer thanks (and I'm not sure how other posters feel about it) but I for one like knowing my 7 hours of handicapping and 2 hours sleep are at minimum acknowledged x28:

Or maybe I just need some sleep :mj18:

RR; Thanks for the clarification on Hawk. In this current environment I really didn't know how to inquire/probe?? I for one would love to see him back. Hi$ 1$t Half Total$ made me some money.

In regards to yourself I am part of a small army that appreciates your time, Box's time, and several others. It's true passion for the sport, the players, and the lines. Kept refreshing this morning until I saw the muscles!!

Hey Riff I have said it before on prior posts but will repeat it here again. Not only have you helped me fatten my bankroll but you might be the earliest riser every morning on this site posting plays. There are a few members that their thoughts definitely influence my plays but there are many members who post their ?original? thoughts for 1PM game at 1258PM. If you do decide to go email only I would love to be included but either way Thanks again!!!

Ditto to above posts.

Your posts are the first thing I look for every morning. I have a set of numbers I use and when they agree with your plays they are hitting a little over 62% this season. I appreciate what you do here and getting your plays out so early has been a big plus. Hopefully you will continue to post here to make life easier for a lot of us here to beat the book. Again THANK YOU for everything you do and hope you continue success through the end of the season.

Cup of coffee and check was Riffs on for the day. The early post, the insights, and the winners are all greatly appreciated. You?ve fattened a lot of MJ wallets mine included. If you stop posting here can I jump back on your email list? Good luck today!

Thanks guys....... As I mentioned, it seems like it's primarily the same following and nothing wrong with that but just want it to be equitable to the guys that I know follow (just want to make sure they are getting the best number) because it can make a huge difference in your bankroll. The biggest movement you will most likely see is the added card where the books are hesitant to take bigger bets without moving the line dramatically. So it really doesn't help anybody for me to post Navy -3 (post at 2-3 am when I'm done capping the daily card, and guys on the East Coast get the number quicker because they are getting up 3 hours beforehand and betting into the line. Then Joe Smoe (actually know a guy with this name) bets into Navy moving the line 1-3 points, and the guys who I really want to help, get a bad number........ Does this make sense??

Obviously, it's too late in the season to make any drastic changes, but something I need to think about. Hawk was infamous for having great insights into his total breakdowns (by quarter/half /game/etc) and I trusted his numbers. Wasn't always that way as I'm sure everyone has their favs that help fatten their bankroll, but that can only come with time and trust. I always wanted to play into his Women's games, but everytime I logged on and saw his plays, by the time I logged on to the 5 different books I use, the numbers were all over the place and I rarely made a wager because all the value was gone. So what I'm saying here is in direct correlation to the same problem I see sometimes after I post. I'm not saying that I'm moving the numbers, but what I'm getting at is that I can usually identify a bad number that is going to get squeezed and that's why I post as early as I do (today was the exception)............. A few times I have held off posting, only to see my number get chopped up and by that time I don't even bother posting it up here because all the value is gone.

In the grand scheme of things, we are only a small cog in the machine, but anybody that has been doing this awhile knows that every hook is worth its weight in gold. Many times, I don't even bother betting online when I get beat to a number, and head to Reno and find the original numbers in a William Hill or Peppermill Book..... That's why it's very important to have a lot of outs but the good Ole days of books running their own lines has gone the way of the dodo bird 🐦.
