Updated 2007 MJ record (total all plays): 40-23 (+21.38 gaming units)

regular plays: 32-20 (9.68 gaming units)

double plays: 8-1 (+13.70 gaming units)

2 team parleys: 0-2 (-2.0 gaming units)
-----------------------------------------------

3-0 on double plays yesterday, won 6.11 gaming units in all. So close to having an absurd day. Cincy bullpen blows and I don't know what the hell is going on with St. Louis but its a sad state of affairs when the pitcher was the only guy to pass 2nd, homered and scored both runs. Ok, enough of my daily whining about the teams that lost for me.:violin:

All in all a good day.

Back in a bit with my plays.

Yes, that Washington:scared

This line is way off in my opinion.

The Marlins, who have lost seven of eight, have scored three or fewer runs in each of their last four games.

Washington has been playing relatively well lately. They have won 4 of the last 7, 2 of those wins coming against atlanta and one against the mets (one against phils too). They are averaging 3.71 runs scored during this stretch.

Pitching match-up also favors Washington in my opinion. Add in the fact that Florida will most likely be without Miguel Cabrera (hitting .333 with team highs of four homers and 13 RBIs) and I think we got a really good price on a strong dog.

Florida's Scott Olsen (2-1, 6.92 ERA) and Washington's Shawn Hill (1-2, 2.89)

Olsen lasted just 2 2-3 innings in his last start on Sunday, allowing five third-inning runs in an 8-4 loss in Atlanta. He had given up just five runs in 9 1-3 total innings in winning his first two starts.

Hill allowed two runs in seven innings of Saturday's 6-2 win over the New York Mets , matching the longest outing of his career. The right-hander, who turns 26 later this month, has allowed just two earned runs in each of his first three starts, but did not receive any run support in his first two.

Angels -130

Angels -130

Check to make sure Vlad is playing.

Joe Saunders (1-0, 2.92) v Miguel Batista (1-1, 8.74 ERA)

Batista is 2-2 with a 6.17 ERA in eight career appearances - three starts - against the Angels.

Angels have to win sometime, right?

Back home after 8 days on the road with your best hitter back and a pitching advantage is a good spot, no?

St. Louis +125

St. Louis +125

Do not, I repeat, do not tail me on this play for the sake of tailing me.

I am betting on St. Louis for 1 reason and 1 reason only. It's personal at this point. They have lost me approximately a million dollars this year. I will ride this thing out to the end. They will win for me once.

Tdot, my man... bang your little emoticon's head against a wall all you want. i don't think anything's gonna change with the cards' bats today. Lilly has been good in his first three starts and if you look at how the cards have hit lefties this year, it's pathetic, 1.33 runs/9I

i'm gonna have to go with the cubs in this spot, cause like you, i gotta be on the only afternoon game!!

tig3rs, I appreciate you trying to talk some sense into me. Seriously. But as stated this is personal. I've been following you, hell of a year so far. Keep up the great work.

adding Clev -172 (Double Play)

adding Clev -172 (Double Play)

Sabathia (3-0, 2.14 ERA)

Edwin Jackson (0-2, 8.31)

The right-hander, though, will have to overcome his control problems in an effort to win his first start since Sept. 26, 2005, with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He has a 6-5 mark with a 5.67 ERA in 17 career starts over five seasons and was used extensively out of the bullpen by Tampa last season, making only one start in 23 appearances with a 5.45 ERA.

Lilly's got three starts. Two against Cinci in which he gave up an earned run in each. One against the dead bats of Houston and he gave up 3 earned in 6 innings. Maybe he just matches up well against Cinci or the fact that Cinci's barely hitting over the Mendoza line. (good) Chance StL pulls this one out on the road where they have had some success while the Cubs have been pretty poor in the friendly confines.
