La Monroe (-7) over Ohio
First this game is about a two hour drive from La Monroe. A big key for me is the time off has given Browning a chance to get healthy. This kid was a gamer and he had this team playing at a high level when he was 100%. 2,830 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven TDs and leads the team with 441 rushing yards. The bobcats lost four of its last five but that was a tough stretch playing five game in 19 days. The time off will be good for them as well. I like Monroe being its first bowl game since joining the bowl eligible teams. Third year head coach Berry has the kids inspired and they should have a lot of energy. Won at Arky, 3 point loss at auburn, 5 point loss to Baylor. Ohio beat penn state but that's really the only name of value. It's funny because Ohio compares the La Mon front seven to BG and I think La Mon is a stronger faster group. I mean I hate going against Solich in bowl games because he is a good game planner but I think Monroe is gonna gamble and play super aggressive. Ohio is gonna run the ball with Blankenship and La Mon has to stop him. This should be a good game but I like the defense of Monroe. They are listed at 37 points given up per game but aside from Baylor, Arky, auburn and western Kentucky they have given up less than 24 per game. The games against Arky st and la laf are tainted because of Browning health. Browning moving the ball and keeping the defense rested is a big key. Considering la Mon plays so fast and aggressive if they are on the field a lot they get worn out. FYI if Ohio thinks Pa Monroe is better than BG and Kent on defense then they are in trouble since they averaged 10 points per in those two games. Both teams rested and ready. Practically a home game for La Mon. Emotionally edge with guys never experiencing a bowl game. Strong fast aggressive defense and a duel threat heathy QB are the reason ill spot the seven.

Cheers

Texas Tech (-13) over Minny
Let the Kliff Kingsburry era begin. But before that let's let the off line coach try it. Minnesota defense that is 11th in the nation against the pass, allowing 178.5 yards a game. The Gophers have allowed just one 300-yard passer this season. Could that be due to the Big Ten being a rushing conference. Name one team in the big ten that has the type air attack that Texas tech possesses. I mean Minny has one quality win and that Cuse. That's it. Outside that they have been beaten up by the big ten. Against the better teams in the big ten the average margin of loss is 17 points. Against the better teams Minny averages on 13 points. Now I'm not saying Texas tech is a great team but they are putting it together on offense and made stride on defense. I just do not think Minny is a good team. They beat cuse, illinoise Purdue and some other lower teams. Texas tech has not been world beaters but they have looked more put together. The red raiders will spread Minny out and pitch and catch all day. Minny will be forced to throw and Grey will make mistakes. Minny may come out on fire but I don't see it. They have a decent defense but Dodge will expose them. Too much offense for Texas tech and with the off line being the intern coach dodge will have a little more input in the game plan. Seeing this game it looks like the Nebraska game where they threw for almost four hundred yards using play action and spreading the field. Mich passed for over 250 with Gardner making his first start. Mich state threw for over 250 as well. Basically when the team commits to run or pass the can beat Minny. After all wisky ran for over 300 on them. Texas tech will keep them off balance and put points up while Minny struggle to find consistencey using Grey a converted WR, QB, RB and a freshman QB. Not too mention the gophers average only about 17 points in away game with a game where they score 30 against unlv.

"Lol auburn"

Say what you want at the end of the year when they completely quit but when they still had fight in them at home early in the season they had a 7 point loss to Clemson and a 2 point loss to LSU. That was when the played La Mon. So I give it some credit.

Best of luck on your plays.

VT (-1) over Rutgers
Not much of a write up on my thoughts. I don't think the big east is very strong. To me it comes down to does VT want it. I think the seniors led by Logan Thomas will not want to go out with a losing record. Vat defense rebuilding but foster will have a good game plan for the Rutgers running game.

LOVE this la Monroe start Jesus nice game plan Berry and Browning stop throwing picks please. Not good at all. Try getting to the edge!
