Gotta start a new thread to get away from the taint of yesterday. A 2-8 day drops my March Madness record (started when the first league tournies began last week) to 31-32-2.

Lets get healthy today.

Getting started early with a small, single play on:

UNC/FSU Over 152.

Good Luck! :weed:

Today's thread looks a lot like yesterday's thread. Maybe I'll start a new one for tonight! :mj07:

But, I am a glutton for punishment.

So:

UNC/FSU Over 79, 2nd Half. Single Play.

Ok, so maybe the mojo has changed. We'll see.

1-0-1 on the day. Onto the 2:00 sessions:

For now:

Ohio State +4.5 over Michigan State. Single Plays. MSU has not been good away from home. Think the Bucks, who have been solid in this tourney the last two seasons, get it done and perhaps even slide into the 64-team field. With the results of the last two days, the Bucks ought to be in with a win, so Matta will have his crew ready to play.

Miami -1 over Virginia Tech. Single Plays. Both team overachieved this year, especially the Hokies. They uglied there way to a top-4 finish in the ACC. The Canes, however, hit the floor with more overall talent. In a game that can go either way, I am taking the team who will have the best player on the court. Thats Jack McClinton for the Canes and thats where my money is.

Good Luck!:weed:

Adding:

Miami -1 over VT, 2ndH. Just think the Canes will still win this game. Even if they lose at the wire, there's a solid chance I can escape with a split off the first play.

Just played this for tonight:

Purdue ML -260 over Illinois.

Double Play.

Boilers have been money for me all season long. Taking a flier and risking a lot of juice on the ML, but these league tournies are goofy and have me gun shy. Line has grown to -6, which gives a lot of room for a worthless back door cover. Purdue is on a mission. They want IU tomorrow, and the Boilers will do their part and get by the Illini. Probably should just play the side, as making ML plays proved my downfall yesterday, but I figure on getting a little healthier on the backs of the time that has been good to me all year.

Boiler Up. Good Luck!

Adding:

Akron -2. Single Play.
Tulsa -2. Single Play
Georgetown ML -175. Single Play.

Just cant seem to find time for write ups today. Work was swamped. Things have been hectic the last few hours and I wanted to cap and write. Oh well. At least I am home, drink in hand and TVs on!!!

Good Luck!:weed:

Purde. Costly. Sorry if anyone followed that suggestion and took a bath. Still posting if for no other reason to give y'all something quality to fade. Yikes!

USC +8 over UCLA. Single Play. Hate going against the Bruins, but more often than not I will bite on USC as a dog. They're 27-15 as a dog under Tim Floyd. Numbers are real good away from home in that stretch. As a road dog, the Trojans are 21-12 under Floyd. They have covers this year in Stanford, Pauley Pavillion and Oregon among other road stops en route to a 7-3 ATS record away from home this year. Today will be more a nuetral site, but they've covered 6 of 9 in those situations as well. Bruins are hard to fade, but the Trojans are one of my favorite dogs in the country.

Now, I am going to quickly pound a shot of soething to wash the Purdue taste out of my mouth.

Second Big East Semi:

Marquette, ML -135. Double Play. I know there are a ton of numbers to support taking Pitt in any Big East Tourney Game. But, if you had asked at anytime in the season who would you take to win this game on a nuetral floor, my answer would always be Marquette. So, I am investing that way. The Golden Eagles are just a little bt better in this one, thanks to Dominic James.

Probably another post or two in a few minutes.

Added a couple of single plays:

KSU -1 over Tamu. Have never been sold on Aggies all year. Do they have a big game in them? I say no. Beasley and Walker will be enough to get this one done.

SDSU +6.5 over BYU. Got a feeling--especially after last night--that this will be a goofy tournament. Aztecs are usually a tough out against the Cougars. They've covered 6 of 8 over BYU and beat the by 4 by home and only lose by 3 in Provo. This will go down to the wire.

Good Luck!

Marquette can not be that bad for two straight halves. Right? Think they make a run at Pitt and this game tightens up in the second half.

Marquette -4.5 2nd H over Pitt. Double Play

In case you want to fade the second Big West Semi:

Single Play. Fullerton -2, -135 over Northridge. Love the way Fullerton is playing. Have a nice winning streak going and the last team to beat them was CSN. Fullerton gets some revenger tonight. Fullerton is 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 versus the Big West while Northridge is almost the opposite, going 3-7 in their last ten.

Good Luck!

Added:

UK ML -200 over UGA. Double Play. You would think I would learn my money line lesson after the last couple of days. But I said I would ride UK to win or getting points as long is it was cheap until it crashes. I consider this cheap, especially against a team with a losing record who it has handled twice already. Maybe the Cats get complacent? No, they dont. They did not come this far to get back into everyone's good graces to fumble it away. Gillespie has these going the way he wants the to and I always like playing on his teams. There will be plenty of UK fans tou counter any home edge playing at the GA Dome may have for UGA. Who knows how many fans are going to be there given the weather situation. Either way, the Cats keep going in the right direction in their unlikely run to the NCAA tourney.

Good Luck!!

Fans poured out of the stands after the tornado ripped a hole in the side of the building. The crowd in lower sections looks sparse. Plus, as you mentioned, Kentucky travels extremely well. Home court edge is limited. I'm on UGA +4, so we can both cash. Good luck:weed:

BTW, Tim Brando just said the game might be played in the morning.

Cie, thanks for the update. I've been trying to monitor it, but eventually TVs give way to where games are being played. I did not know the second gae was even in question. Looks like it will be postponed after all. Wonder how the rest of the SEC slate gets impacted by this. I guess all UK-UGA action is off. It will interesting to see how that plays out.

So. Lets see.

I got for my late action:

Stanford -2 over Wassau. Single play.

UNLV ML -220 over Utah. Double Play Something to replace the UK action, right? We know there will be home court there. Vegas got a scare last night, but they're better than Utah and should notch one tonight.

Good Luck! I a gonna go drinki another shot after watching that Indiana ending! Looks like it wont be that locally exciting tomorrow afternoon in Indy.

BG fans can relate to this.......but that loss is sooooo Dan Dakich. Something always seems to happen.

Yesterday's record: 12-9-2.
March Madness Record: 43-41-4 (since March 4 when the first league tournies began)
Overall Season Record: 135-133-6

A good record yesterday, yes. But, it is marred by the hit I took on the ML on Purdue, which I made a double play. Damn Boilers! Between that and a 2-8 Thursday, a real promising League Tourney run has come down to needing a good day today to get back into the plus side from an "accounting" standpoint for both March Madness and the season.

Despite that, I ended up making a small profit yesterday, but not as much as the record would indicate because of that loss. They were up 5 with a minute to go, what a major swing for my pocketbook that game was. Still, was surprised when the dust settled that I made about 1 unit yesterday. I started drinking as Purdue unravled and hit the red wine even harder during the IU game, so I am fuzzy on how I pulled that off. I do know I played Tulsa on the ML rather than the -2 I posted, so I win there, not a push. Keeping it a push for this record, however. Also, I think I had Stanford as a double play, but I notice I only posted it as a single play. As I made the play, I bumped it up, but was so caught up in the clsoing sequences of the IU game (and the subsequent drowning of the sorrows) to get back to the site and make the change.

Regardless, just glad I am still intact after the big hit I took on Purdue. Disappointed because it was a big day of hoops and everyone wants to damage to the book on those days. Oh well, today is a new day. Gonna hit the gym and shake out these red wine cobwebs I have in my brain and try to pluck out a winner or two for the afternoon. I'll start a Saturday thread.

I stll like UK to win, we will see how the lines adjust for this game. I still have not seen a new one.
