You too can make a living betting the association.......All you have to do is fade me lately.

Season 19-18-2 -1.36 units
Yesterday 0-3 -6.6 units:moon:

Can only get better right???? Maybe, maybe not. The roller coaster season that is the association has seen me reach a 13 unit high back to down to treading water currently. Had 3 wrong totals yesterday, although Indiana was close, I just had the wrong side and I do not get lucky in totals. No more totals for a while as my records indicate I am doing fine in sides and awful at totals. I have no problem playing unders, but the totals I've liked so far have been overs and no one can shoot anymore in the NBA. I'd be willing to wager anyone a large sum of money that the league as a whole is not hitting 30% from outside of 15 feet. The produce that Stern and co. has put out hasn't even been enjoyable to watch either. With the exception of the Lakers game last night, I haven't enjoyed one game and said damn, that was good basketball or even fun to watch. Happy to see the Lakers win in a very entertaining game, and if you didn't enjoy that one, then you don't enjoy basketball. There have been a few close games, but as a whole, the players and product as a whole in my opinion is WAY DOWN.

Toronto +4.5 2 units. Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that both teams would square off coming off wins against Dallas. Toronto has covered in 4 of the last 6 these teams have played and won 5 of those games. Kind of a revenge game for Washington as they blew a big lead earlier in the season to lose at Toronto, but Washington doesn't strike me as a team that deserves to have revenge games. I love Gilbert Arenas and he is a great pick up for that team and should allow them to stay somewhat close to .500 but I'll take my chances with Air Canada in what should be a real close game. Was debating the moneyline, but I'll take the points.

New Jersey +4 2 units. Both teams coming off 2 straight losses. I understand that New Jersey is playing its 3rd in 4 and on back to back nights, but this is still the defending eastern champions. Last night they learned what they needed to do without martin and toward the end of the game at least played better. I like teams the next time they play after getting embarrassed on national tv. From a matchup standpoint even without Martin, Boston doesn't have the inside presence to exploit that. Yeah Vin Baker has played well early, but jury still out on him. The nets have won the last 7 games they have played including 3 of them in Boston.

Cleveland +8 1 unit. This is a 3rd in 4 situation that I think does matter. Indiana albeit they won, still played a tough game in New Jersey last night where they had to play the full 48 minutes as the nets made a late run. Not much more to say except I think the line looks low and Cleveland rebounds from a loss where many expected them to win on National TV. Should be a bit of a let down game for Indiana after a nice win last night.

Lakers -3 2 units. Might be a bit of a homer play. Everyone saw that they played 2 overtimes last night and flew late and probably got in real early. Many people were surprised that they had to struggle with a short rostered Spurs team. But Ginobli played unstoppable and Nesterovich had a real presence down low. From a matchup standpoint, the Lakers match up way better with the Hornets. PJ Brown is the only person that can give the Lakers a problem down low. No Mashburn and apparently no plastic man either. Sean Rooks and Jamal Magliore don't exactly scare shaq down low. I think people are overreacting to the Lakers performance last night. It might stay close early, but I think the Lakers pull away late.

Clippers +7.5 2 units. I know Brand is out, so I won't say much more than who the hell are the nuggets to be laying 7.5 points to anyone. I know the nuggets are improved and the clippers looked bad against seattle, but please the nuggets laying big chalk to any team...no thanks. Clippers have won 8 of the last 10 between the teams and the two victories by the nuggets have been by a combined 5 points. I know, different lineups, but no way do the clippers get rolled in this one.

Phoenix -5.5 1 unit. Home cooking. Memphis made a late run to almost cover against Portland, but Phonix is hungry after a 1-3 start and this team should get healthy in this spot at home.

6 games on a big card. Might be a good time to fade as I've been cold as ice, but hopefully i can get things turned around.

Once again, Good Luck to All

ez money:

gl with your plays. youre one of the guys i normally check out on the nab forum because you put the time and effort in to all your posts. very sound logic on a lot of your plays.

im debating when to make my first cavs play of the season.
its either going to be tonight or tomorrow.

the pros to a cavs play tonight:
*like you said, indiana 3 in 4 nights. pacers could be flat
*many jumped off cavs early hype bandwagon after lame performance against the nuggs

pros to cavs play tomorrow night:
*chance to amend for nuggs effort and get 1st home win.
*ira newble expecting to come off injured list and play. sounds like a very trivial activation. well the cavs signed him in free agency to bring toughness and defensive to their team. and as we know, the cavs are super super soft the first 4 games. he could bring a lot of help defensively and get the cavs over the hump

cavs will be getting pts today and laying a few tomorrow, so maybe more value lies in the spread tonight.

gl with your play. either way, cavs should at least show up tonight. hopefully its enough to cover
