Coming off an 8-0 unbeaten night like yesterday, I'm looking to follow up strong. I do not have as many plays and for those of you know me personally or have followed me, I tend to have less picks on Fridays.

Tonight:

W.Virginia -3 ** (2 Units)
This is a game I feel the road favorite is not getting enough respect. Pitt has been fantastic early on and has since faded out. This is a huge rivalry, but there is no distinct advantage the Panthers have over the Mountaineers. With the exception of Purdue, W.Virginia has been a good road team. I love their size and coming off a tough loss at home against Nova, I think Huggins will have his troops extremely ready for this game.

Siena/Niagara Under 150.5 ** (2 Units)
This total continues to jump and has now reached a high enough level that I cannot justify it for specific reasons. Siena has wrapped up the conference and the #1 seed in the MAC tournament. I feel they will be playing with less urgency tonight. As for Niagara, if they want to pull off the win and stay in this game for a complete 40 minutes they will have to slow the tempo down to a score in the late 60's to early 70's. I think at home and playing a team that might be a little complacent should cause this game to stay under.

Columbia +14 ** (2 Units)
I normally do not play much Ivy league, but this line jumped out at me. Columbia is not great by any means, but they rebound well and play a slow paced game. Princeton has been on a roll winning 6 straight, but their wins have not been by huge margins. They too like a slow pace as the over/under total is placed at 108. This is such a small number, but yet the 14 points seem like a lot when the score will be low as it is. Princeton is tied for the league lead with Cornell as both are undefeated in conference. Guess what?? They play each other tomorrow in front of an expected sell-out crowd, which has been the talk of the town around the Jadwin Center. I think with two slow tempo teams, along with a look ahead to Cornell tomorrow, and wanting to not overly exert themselves, Columbia makes a good play receiving this high of points.

Montana/Portland St Over 142.5 ** (2 Units)
This is a game with two offensive minded teams. Portland can flat out run and gun for an entire game. In their last 7 games they have averaged 82 PPG and scored over 80 in five of those. They are also averaging 89 PPG when playing at home. At the same time, they fail to play much defense creating high scoring affairs. However, I will say the last time they failed to score a significant amount of points it was against this same Montana team. The Grizzlies do play above average defense, but I feel on the road they simply will not have as much success. Look for Montana to do their best at slowing the Vikings down, but once they realize they can't...Montana will start running too. Portland will be more than happy to accomodate.

Not many this evening with all being 2 Unit plays. I will be looking forward to tomorrow's big day.

Good luck everyone!

Best,
Kaiser

Well going 2-2 tonight for even units. That WVU/Pitt game was just a phenomenal game. Best of the year so far, but there were a lot of questionable calls. In any case, let's look forward to Saturday's big card.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Trollin, Ocean, and Box I appreciate it! I'll see you guys tomorrow. Let's have a big weekend!

Best,
Kaiser
