Baylor -6 over Oregon ***
this line was -7 and -7.5 2 days ago today its -8.5 was lucky to get it early
Again after seeing this Bear team up close said right away " this is not the No 1 womans in ladies hoops... no way..gds can't shoot and have no range.." but later realized they don't need to shoot 3's they can hit the mid range shot and score in transition...found out the other day Baylor is 345th in 3 pt shooting out of 348..Kim runs the hi-low basketball offense and runs transition .. fast break ...all there gds can dribble and attack..they all have entry passes to Cox up top and Brown down low...on the defensive side they are outstanding...they shut you down inside with the 2 biggies and are athletic enough to go out and defend the perimeter..but there biggest strength is the Paint..they own it both on offense and esp on defense...Oregon comes in with a different style...they shoot the 3's and make them they are No 1 in the country in 3 pt shooting hitting 362 3's at 42%...thats almost impossible...they have the best player on the floor in Ionesscu a triple double threat every game...Ducks did not sneak up on anybody..most pre-season magazines had them No 2 behind Notre Dame..she has supporting cast in Hebard and others that avg double figures so stopping just Ione isn't the answer..
Bears play old style defense and rebounding and pounding the ball inside..great transition..Ducks cannot play defense like Bears but can shoot the eyes out of the basket...should be a great game but leaning with baylor and the bigs...the bigs inside will score for the Lady bears no matter what..will the Ducks outside shooting stretch out the Bears defense if they start hitting those..they could but even if they do where are the Ducks gds going..into Brown and Cox..Baylor also leads the nation in blocked shots...think Bears win this by 10-12 pts in a close game...
UConn +2,5 over Notre Dame *
After Muffets press conference yesterday about men coaching womans basketball she has to go up against Gino ..Notre Dame is loaded and if they win think they can repeat...Katie Lou says she is ok but the Huskies need her back 100%...ND has outstanding gds Ogunbwole and Young are the best gd tandem in the country,,I love their post player Shepard,,,rebounds,scores and is an outstanding passer...Huskies did beat them 89-71 back in Dec which really means nothing...Huskes lost in semi's last year....with the pressure on the Irish a small play for Geno and his ladies...but should pass because I'm playing with my heart in this one.
