Siena's weakness is that while they can't handle a pressure defense. This is how Manhattan beat them in the last game. Prosper Karangwa is the team's best player and ball-handler but he isn't a point guard. He's 6-7 and susceptible to the pressure, which is why he was just 2-9 from the field on Tuesday night.

Iona is playing well; they lost by just 5 at Manhattan, IMO the team to beat in the MAAC. In the last couple of games, they seem to have adjusted to life without Greg Jenkins; Courtney Fields in particular seems to have stepped up.

Iona will pressure Siena most of the night; the Gaels only weakness here is that they only have 9 healthy players going tonite. Freshman Center Waschmann is out, he suffered a concussion in the last game.

I see this as a close game, and even if Iona doesn't win I think they'll stay within the number.

FWIW my top play of the day is Marist.

Cansius's best player Mallory is questionable with a knee sprain which kept him out of the last game and starting forward Morton-Spruill (8.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg) is listed as doubtful.

Morton-Spruill was a major contributor in their last game, he scored 13 and had 11 boards vs Iona.

Marist is tough at home (even though they've been better on the road so far this year) and shouldn't have any trouble covering a couple of points over an injury-ridden Cansius.

The Griffs, who were without leading scorer and rebounder Hodari Mallory, suffered more misfortune against the Gaels. Moton-Spruill suffered a grade two concussion as he was kicked in the head by a teammate while battling for a loose ball with 3:30 to play. He will likely miss Friday?s game at Marist, but Mallory is likely to return to the lineup.

Was going to sit it out tonight but after further review, I'm with you on Marist.

Good Luck to us!

Thanks Superbook for the insight into the Iona game, I may follow it. Love the Marist play I posted it early this morning when I got my line, think Marist wins by at least 6 here.

Great Info SuperBook

I'm gonna try them myself. Let's see if we cash in !!!!! I live about ten minutes from Manhattan College.

By the way, for the great cappers here.. Did You Know? Manhattan College is actually in The Bronx.
And so is Fordham. Columbia is in Manhattan. Hofstra is in Hempstead,Long Island. Iona is in New Rochelle, Westchester County.

In case you folks follow the travel habits of teams in your capping.!:D

Hey Superbook, if you play Marist on the money line (-135) you get better odds on your parlay. $100 wins $1111.10. Rather than the standard odds, they must refigure the parlay and pay correct odds. Learned this the hard way. Had about the same type parlay, Marist won the game by one. It was a one unit loss versus an eleven unit win. Best of luck on your plays.

superbook, agree w/ your assessment of saints' pg weakness, but now that it's been exposed hc lanier has had a few days of film/practice to compensate w/ adjustments...think this is 1 of his strengths & siena loves the pepsi arena so a small play for me on the saints-5.5...gl, caper

caper --

Too bad Saints can't start Lanier. That guy could handle the ball for the Bonnies. But then I'm dating myself.

If MAAC-man Box and One is correct, I go 0-4 tonite. Oh well.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised that all of the home teams covered.

That was a good amount of fun for a light schedule Friday. Ivy starts next week so we'll have to do it again.

Big card tomorrow, can't wait for Oly to start putting up the lines.
