Seems like Friday night is one of the few nights of the week that I get enough time to cap and then post some picks, so here is what the crystal ball spit out for tonight, mostly dogs as always:
1)Milwaukee(+160)....classic flat spot for the Giants
2)Houston(+150).......Astros need this one more than St.Louis and it is the Cards first game back off the road trip
3)Mtl/Mets over 8.5, +105...........liked this one even before I saw IE and Nick were on it
4)Oakland/Texas over 9,-105.............A's have their hitting shoes on again this week and what better pitching staff to face than the Rangers
5)A hedge play here taking:
Detroit(+280) and the Over 9.5,+105
Reasoning: I live close to Detroit and it is currently raining and has rained off and on for most of the afternoon. The forecast calls for intermittent rain this evening.
Soooooooooooo, chances are that this -300 or so price on Roger Clemens will be false. If their is a rain delay or two, he will quickly be gone from this game and the Tigers will be facing a middle reliever getting +280. Also, if it does rain and the game is called after 5 or 6 innings, I'll take my chances once again getting +280.
On the total, my thinking is that, once again, the chances of "lesser" pitchers being in there is good. Also, with poor weather conditions, the field will be slick, the ball will be slick, and cheap runs could be at a premium. Just my opinion though.
The 6 plays again:
---------------------------
1)Milwaukee(+160)
2)Houston(+150)
3)Mtl/Mets over 8.5,+105
4)Oak/Texas over 9,-105
5)Detroit(+280)
6)Det/NYY over 9.5,+105
Good luck out there tonight,
Tiger
