Going to wait for public to drive up the total prior to kick tonight, but this is shaping up to be a big play for me.

Under 48

Some angles:

- Kansas is breaking in two new starting OT's and replacing two excellent players there. Their replacements have yet to be tested facing pedestrian pass rushers vs LaTech and Florida Int'l. Selvie will live in the backfield in this game.

-USF gave up 24 last week, but that was largely due to long kickoff and punt returns. UCF only managed 12 first downs and 226 total yards vs the Bulls. I suspect the kick coverage teams will receive special attention from Jim Leavitt this week.

-USF has played 5 games against ranked foes the past two seasons. In those games the total points scored averages just 41.4ppg

-Kansas returns 9 starters from a defense that gave up just 16 ppg and gave up 5 ppg and 203 ypg in their first two (against obviously inferior competition)

-The weather should be fine and with two experienced QBs on the field, I don't expect to a significant number of turnovers leading to short fields

Under is a great play...I've followed KU for a long time now and Mangino will play this game conservative just like he did last year on the road. I see them (KU) settling for field goals early and keeping it close.....close game at the end.

good luck wood. i am considering the under as well. USF will look to establish the ground game. don't think Kansas is as explosive as they were last year either.
