SHOW,

Any help with WHY? Tulane should roll against the UL 2ndary, and the Green Wave D is an oxymoron!

I hate taking overs against these high #s, but what is it that makes you see this thing go under the high total?

Thanks in advance,
hounds

hounds -

Here's some analysis on why i feel the Louisville/Tulane game goes under:

I have to disagree w/ you when you say Tulane should roll against the Louisville secondary...I think Tulane will have their problems putting up points on the board...Louisville's Defense has actually been pretty solid this year - and is giving up 18.5 ppg...I think Louisville will give up close to that tonight or less - but not more than 21 points...Tulane on the other hand is giving up an avg. of 38.5 ppg...on the offensive side of the ball Tulane is averaging 33.8 ppg while Louisville is averaging 32.5 ppg...I think the 15 point spread is pretty close to what the margin of victory will be - i see Louisville putting up around 35 pts...but not much more than that...there will be just enough defense in this game to keep the total under the posted 67.5 points...if you look at the averages of points scored for & against - anyway you add them up this points to an under...predicted score Louisville 35 Tulane 21...for a total of 56 points...I believe the public perception will be to play the over...I will go w/ my instincts & the numbers on this one - play the under - 1st half - and game...

Good luck w/ whatever you decide to play!

I saw on ESPN there turnonver ratio went from a -11 from last year to a +4 to this year, so you know there defense is playing a hell of alot better this year.

I'm with you on this one too Show.

I think the whole key will be that Louisville needs to be in control of this game (up 10 or more) early in the 2nd half, then they will just grind the ball through the porous Tulane D (similar to what CSU did last night). Only problems I see is if Louisville has to come back it could turn into a shootout. I think we're on the right side though.
