i played a couple tonight....i took archuletta -105(fighting in his hometown,barrera stepping up in weight,barrera very inexperienced).....honestly,i don`t know much about barrera(marco`s cousin) other than his wins were almost all in his mexican hometown and he has fought nobody remotely as tough as archuletta...

took j.c. candelo +145 to reverse his previous loss to hernandez...the report i got was that hernandez went down several times early and was cut over both eyes....candelo tried for the k.o. the whole fight and got outhustled....a tough call...i`ll take the odds...

syd vanderpool +185 over jaffa ballogou.......vanderpool has an extensive amateur background in canada.....he took a freak loss early in his career to a very bad fighter(a headbutt or something)....his only other loss was by decision to bernard hopkins in a championship bout...he`s a lefty,and at least 2 of ballogou`s 4 losses were to lefty`s(guillermo jones and frankie liles) ....i`m a little surprised that the odds are this wide...looks like a toss-up to me...ballogou is the bigger puncher,vanderpool a better boxer and is pretty well put together.....ballogou is 34,vanderpool 30 or 31.....vanderpool has fought generally tougher competition on a more consistent basis....both are managed by don king....based on that,i should run the other way...taking a shot with the dog....



i don`t usually post picks on the lesser fights,but,you asked for opinions.......i had a horrible pick on mccline last week,that ended a pretty good streak(that can happen when you take a 5-1 underdog)....i may be starting a bad streak,so,you might be smart to go with your own gut.....i`m not going very big on these..all basically dogs.....there are questions involved in all 3.....fun plays.....hoping for 2 out of 3...g.l.

archuletta lost a split decision.....must have been a legit loss,they were fighting in his hometown......

1837,are you familiar with syd vanderpool?....i know he was a pretty renowned amateur up in canada....i think the guy is talented...ballogou is a heavy puncher,though....thanks.

vanderpool stopped ballogou.....we got 2 out of 3 dogs in(and hit the 2 with bigger odds).....now,let`s get byrd home.....g.l.
