Leafs/ Devils UNDER 5 2 units (even money). New Jersey has been scoring a little more lately, but this team is still built around the best goalie in this era after Roy, Marty Brodeur. It's a defensive team who likes to get up early and then trap the hell out of the puck and slow the game down. In their last 6 games, New Jersey is averaging 3 goals a game. Toronto has bounced back nicely after their disaster at home against the flyers winning 2 in a row. Toronto averaging only 2.4 goals a game their last 5. Historically these teams like to play low scoring affairs. Only twice in the last 10 have these teams topped the 5 scoring mark. I just see goals being a scarcity in this one and would be surprised to see more than 3 goals put up.
Nashville -.5 -105 4 units(over max play). This will be my biggest bet of the young season. 3 units is supposed to be my max, but I'm adding one more. These stupid Blowhawks have been playing out of their ass for some time now. This game they will come back to reality. Nashville has only won once in their last 7...I don't care. Chicago has covered 7 of their last 8....I don't care. Tonight the Blowhawks get their ass handed to them. Chicago is playing their first game in 4 days and I think the rust will show. Nashville has had a day to rest as well. Nashville has covered all 4 of their last 4 meetings in Nashville as well. Not much more to say except when my gut pounds this hard on a game, i'm gonna listen to it.
